Milwaukee, WI - 8:00 PM ET
TV: FS1

Stream (may need TV provider log in):
https://www.foxsportsgo.com/program/508284/womens-college-basketball-depaul-at-marquette

Audio:
Marquette doesn't have radio broadcasts and I didn't see a link for an audio broadcast on DePaul's website

Live stats:
https://gomarquette.com/sidearmstats/wbball/summary

This is a big early season BE showdown and could put Marquette in a good position if they can win this one and remain undefeated in BE play (a match-up at DePaul looms in early February of course though). This is only the second time since conference realignment that there is a game between two BE teams ranked in the AP poll.

Marquette has not released any information about Allazia Blockton's ankle injury and Carolyn Kieger has just said she's day to day. So it's another day of going to the Al and seeing if she's out on the court during warm-ups. If she's not playing, MU is hurt by not having her scoring ability of course but even more so due to their lack of depth. Blockton is 13 points away from becoming the first Men's or Women's player in MU history to reach 2,000 points (she became the Women's all-time leading scorer in the 12/9 game at Northwestern).

I haven't heard anything for awhile. Last I heard is she still needs a kidney transplant and is on dialysis. She is on the bench for some MU games and I am guessing when she's not there, it's because she's at dialysis or recovering from that. I am hopeful for the best for her also.

I don’t know but I certainly don’t like it.

The injury to Tanita Allen did not look good Sad.

It’s pretty entertaining so far for me 😀. But there’s lots of time left in this one.

Oh well, DePaul didn't show up. Good for the hometown fans. Smile

I'll switch to WSU@OR and watch for a triple double.

Oh joy...Ann "Whaddya say Mare!?!" Schitz is doing the game.

Don’t remember seeing a team where a (deep) bench player (Sandra Dahling - Marquette) addresses the team in a timeout before the coach.

Dahling is a captain and her leadership is very respected by her teammates so it doesn’t surprise me.

And this game is far from over

I think Marquette deserves a little credit for playing well tonight Smile. But yes I can see why if you're not a fan of Marquette, you wouldn't want to watch this game.

This was so not what I expected especially with Blockton out again. Near the end I thought to myself this is a lot like the MU-DePaul BET championship game where MU was on the other end of this. The score was super close to that game - tonight MU won 96-63 and the BET game was won by DePaul 98-63.

I anticipate a much different type of game in Chicago in early February.

My first time seeing either team playing this year. Obviously, senior cohesion is a delicious icing on a totally solid cake of Talent--Natisha & Co. rocks! Definitely a bright outlook on their season.

Not having seen DePaul play before AND knowing they're ranked....did Marquette make them look that bad or are they just not 'all that'??

And that’s without reigning BE POY Allazia Blockton out there too.

I’m biased but I think it’s a combination - I think DePaul is a little worse this season than I originally thought (home loss to Creighton is a little suspect too) but I also think MU played well overall and made DePaul look a little bad.

I don’t expect a game like this in Chicago and MU could go on the road next week and look awful. But I have a week to enjoy this win 😀.
