First time I’ve seen UConn play. Wondered how they can have such good defense without fouling. But now I know. The refs don’t bother calling shit on them. Katie Lou Samuelson completely undercuts the Baylor lady bear on the offensive outback and nothing was called. Lots of contact to have Baylor shoot zero foul shots. Hmmmm, SMH, getting favoritism when not even at home. None of UConn’s players are superstars yet and they do not deserve the DT and MM no-calls.

I do agree that UConn gets away with quite a bit of fouling. For instance, they always give just a wee bit of a push in the back when someone is shooting a layup.

One thing I did take from the first half. I wouldn't use a top 5 pick on Brown. She will have a very hard time keeping up with the pace of the game in the W. Could you imagine her trying to guard Griner, Cambage, Stewie, Nneka, Candace, Sylvia, Tina, JJ, or Chiney?

Maybe not a lottery but with most teams in the lottery needing a big say Gustaffson. Or anigwe creeps higher than expected? Browns confidence and already having a double double against uconn might keep her safe though.

true. and it's weird. in the two previous games I saw she was knocking down those mid-range shots like they were easy peasy.

Samuelson is disappearing in the big moments as usual. Congrats to Baylor for excellent defense and ferocity.

This is not surprising if you have seen the past few UConn games. The offense has just not been there. Looking like that ND game was more of an anomaly more than anything.

Credit to Baylor’s defense thought. They were very solid.

Wow, congrats to Baylor! They put together a strong game. This will be good for both teams in the long run.

Well Brown sure changed my mind a bit when it comes to the lottery. 22 Pts 17 Rebs is pretty dang good for a top matchup.

She played vs virtual midgets though. A bad sample, imo.

What better sample than UCONN though? If not them then whom would you use? We've already seen Brown vs McCowan Part 1 and Brown was the winner at that time...

I was wondering the same thing.

I'm betting UConn stays at 1.

Stanford and Baylor are probably too far back to jump to 1. Plus Baylor lost to Stanford who lost to the Zags who ND beat by 16. So now Baylor beat UConn but they are currently ranked 8 so likely wont move up more than 2 or 3 spots. I'm guessing it stays UConn 1, ND 2 based on UConn having beaten ND.

Now, the winner of next weeks Louisville-ND game might jump up to 1, I suppose.

UConn needs to hope for a LVille win so that the Cards are undefeated at the end of the month when they face each other. It's really UConn's only remaining big time game on its schedule until the NCAA tournament.

UConn has no size, or didn't you notice? Wink
