We need the Houston Comets back. No reason the team who won the first 4 titles should have folded.

I loved watching the Comets and was both sad and surprised when they folded!! I don't care how many times any current team wins 3,4,or however many championships there will NEVER be a team that wins 4 titles back to back to back to back titles!!!
REMEMBER THE HOUSTON COMETS!!!!

Hard to believe that it was ten years ago this month, that the Comets folded! 😢

After Les Alexander's divorce, his heart was no longer in keeping the team. That was a direct quote I got from first Comets' coach Van Chancellor.
Les picked the wrong furniture guy to sell to in Hilton Koch. He didn't have the cash to sustain the team. Mattress Mac would have been better.
Now that Tilman Fertitta owns the Rockets, we should all bombard him with please of #RelaunchTheComets on his twitter feed. If you go to Joe's Crab Shack or Outback Steakhouse (he owns those) write that in on any comment card available.

I was in the 7th grade win the comets won 3 for 10. Kim Perrott would have been considered one of the best floor generals the W ever seen. The matchups with her and spoon were iconic! R.I.H

My dream for the WNBA is for the Comets & Monarchs to return by the league's 25th anniversary.

Ideally I'd love to see four defunct teams return: Houston, Sacramento, Portland & Cleveland. The fan bases were solid for all four teams. There's then the potential for 4 new teams in thriving women's college basketball. San Francisco/San Jose, Nashville/Knoxville, Louisville & Columbia, SC.
