Nice job Oklahoma. Another UCONN run to the end the game and hand them a loss.

Very rough game for UConn. Lucky to escape with the win. Colliers rebouding and put backs really helped. Not sure why they didn’t try to work it inside more instead of jacking up threes that weren’t falling. Walker was all out of sorts on both ends of the floor. Dangerfield was getting beat off the bounce all game.

Robertson for OU is a lights out shooter. If she can get in better shape she will be very good.

Well, it's tough to win when you just go to sleep for the last 6 minutes of the game.

Tough finish for OU after a valiant effort. Probably their best performance of the year even though they lost.

I'm going on a limb and say this will be the worst shooting game of the year for CT. (it better be)

More TOs than As (12-10), pathetic A/FG ratio (10/28 ), 2-17 from 3 (11.8%)

nevertheless, they persisted. Very Happy

You mean all the UConn haters to explain how this will bode very well to toughen up UConn for those tight tournament games? Laughing

Absolutely....if they're in a tournament of Feisty Midget Teams. Laughing Laughing

Really folks....this is proof positive that even the Goliaths have bad dayz. And I certainly hope this gives the Sooners a much-needed shot of confidence to approach the Mighty Baylors and Texases of the Big 12.

Hey, tip your hat to the gutsy Sooners. Do I believe this is who the Huskies are - no, they are much better than this.

It only took Geno 3 quarters to realize that when the 3's aren't falling maybe he should go down to Collier who had no one they can stay with her?

Listening to CD on the postgame she praised KLS almost as much if not more than Collier. Guess they need to push her for Player of the year with Aja in the W.

Let Collier be the go to player PLEASE. She is far more calm cool and collected than frazzled KLS firing up the first open 3 she sees.

Down by 6 at halftime. Wow. I expect Geno to whip them into shape in the locker room and see a huge run to start the 2nd half.

How many times has UCONN faced a deficit at halftime in the past 3 years since Stewie left? This has to be a rare occurrence.

I can't remember the last time the Hussies won after trailing at the half

December 3rd of last year. UConn trailed Notre Dame at the half 43-36 before winning 80-71.

Proves UConn CAN be had...at least this edition of them. Just don't get into a shooting slump in the last quarter. Great game up until then, Oklahoma!

It also shows pretty clearly that UConn is one injury away from disaster. They can beat most teams with four players...but I don't think they can beat the best ones....or even the fair to middlin ones if all of the players aren't engaged/healthy.

Zaftig Coale's Sooners played very well, individually and as a team, both on offense and defense. Especially for a group of frosh and sophs.

Nevertheless, UConn performed poorly on both offense and defense, individually and especially as a team, with the exception of Collier. Too much hurried chucking and driving. Too little ball and player movement. Very unaesthetic.

Megan Walker never impressed me in high school or USAB. Still doesn't. Poor digital proprioception control.

Not impressed with ONO's shooting touch either. With maybe one exception, I haven't seen her take a shot other than a layup or putback, which she makes at less than 45%.

If you can imagine both Samuelson and Collier not being available for the entire season, you can thereby imagine next year's UConn team.

Holiday Spirit, I s'pose.....

I watched the game twice, something I almost NEVER do. Laughing

First of all, I so seldom get to see the Sooners play, with my cable package, and hey, who DOESN'T enjoy watching the Yooks stumble a bit, right? Razz

To me the most amazing part was the role coaching played: Geno certainly didn't make egregious errors or misjudgments--the players just didn't execute/perform. But Coale, on the other hand, took a group of freshmen and sophomores and led the #1 team in the country for over 3 quarters. There's a little bit of magic there, to get a group like that to over-perform to such a level.

Other highlights:
*Williams stuffing Katie-Lou
*3s, 3s, and more 3s
*Madi and Shaina, in general
*Mandy was much better than I anticipated
*What Taylor Robertson's upside is, especially if she becomes a fit athlete. Lauri Koehn, look out!

And you can thereby imagine the concern in HuskyLand.

Huh? Samuelson hits the defender in the chest with an elbow and they call a foul on Oklahoma?

Well I guess I won't be making final four reservations next season. Sad

I'll have to settle for watching the best back court in the country. Very Happy
