I enjoy Lynx vs Sparks as much as the next guy but they're certainly not the most exciting teams to watch anymore. 5 games of Minnesota? Who's gonna watch that! Laughing

Minny may not be, but Summertime Showtime is alive and well at Staples. Wink

Not understanding Why or Hw LV got 3 TV games and We only got 1? Liz Cambage needs to be seen in this league no doubt about it. Id rather watch her than Aja & possibly McCowen or Ionescu .

I guess the league is saving face with Diggins out and Cambage possibly not showing up. The Wings without those two will look pretty sad.

Even without Queen Cabbage we were an exciting offensive team to watch. Keyword : Offensive

Vegas has the last 3 #1 picks so a TV game for each Yay Rolling Eyes

The Wings without those two look like this currently:

PG: Davis/Romero
SG: Gray/Hill/Lucas
SF: Christmas/Thornton
PF: Johnson/Stevens
C: Plaisance/George

Plus their picks.

Nobody should have to watch Kaela Davis play PG. That's just cruel.

If Thornton’s a backup, she should come to Minnesota and be a backup.
Bibby’s prized find.

Does Vegas look that much better though? Even with their 3 #1's ?

And I seriously doubt that anyone will, now they're run by a coach with half a clue. Agler will likely find some kind of veteran to run the team while they're waiting for Diggins-Smith. You sign a Kiesel or a Colson before you let Davis take the spot.

I wonder if Agler can get Sims to return to Dallas and be his PG?

Maybe he'll bring back Chong

There's a solid 6 PGs that got cut last year that Dallas could have signed over Romero, especially once she ended up being a bust. Agler knows what to look for, but odds are he wants a veteran.

I suppose Agler doesn't have the entire say in the matter, but perhaps he would trade the #5 pick for a veteran (even if unexciting) PG. Names that come to mind: J. Thomas, Clarendon, January, Robinson, Hartley, Prince. Help me J-Spoon. I'm convincing myself this would be a really dumb trade since I can't think of an extra PG any team has sitting around on the bench worth a No. 5 pick.

Just wait for it ..people are going to start the trade #5 for their worst player scenarios & try and make sense of it soon . Happens every year to my wings Rolling Eyes

After watching McCowan get eviscerated by Oregon's Maite Cazorla in the pick-and-roll, I have serious doubts if she's ready to help a WNBA team win a lot of games. She's tall, certainly, but slow and completely clueless as to how to defend the basic offensive set in the league.

I've never been high on McCowan. She's not even a lottery pick for me. She'll need lots of work in the W to be successful. She gets most of her points off of rebounds. Not aggressive enough inside, and the game against Oregon shows she has stamina issues.

McCowan could be the next Sylvia Fowles or the next Kayla Alexander. You choose !

Erika de Souza? Who wants to spend a lottery pick for a player that won't even be a starter until seven years and two teams later?

Probably no one, but the Erika is clearly somewhere in the middle between Alexander and Sylvia Flagrant Fowles. She was a 2x all star and put up many stats you know better than me. Plus - she was quite young, never went the NCAA route. Had she don'e that it might not have taken so long. She ended up having a long and fairly successful career. Many lottery picks that had much lessor careers. Shahkator, probably Alaina Coates, Zahui B., KML, Morgan Tuck, Rachel Banham, Alisha Gray, Dev Peters, Shekinna Stricklen, Amber Harris, Monica Wright, Kelsey Griffen, Marissa Coleman and Renee Montgomery. It's a long list and I only included the most obvious ones. Now if who ever draft McCowen just knew in advance whether she would be an MVP, 2x All star or a bust they could easily make the right choice.

Honestly the perfect prospect would be Kalani Brown & Mccowan combined. Kalani McCowan would be a dream.!
