Wait a sec, the WNBA doesn't even have a league president selected yet. Can a schedule be released without the president approving it, or at least having some input?

The acting president is Mark Tatum.

Expanded TV coverage

Quote:
The ESPN networks’ slate of 16 regular-season telecasts – which will include three games on ABC, two on ESPN, and 11 on ESPN2 – is up from 13 a year ago, when each of those telecasts was on ESPN2. In addition, the WNBA All-Star Game will be broadcast on ABC on Saturday, July 27 from Las Vegas.

In typical WNBA fashion, clicking Schedule front the front of the .com does not show you the schedule nor do any of the teams have html or csv schedules available.

Unfortunate technical issue, which they are feverishly trying to fix.

Impressed by the additional games on ABC & ESPN. A step up. Hopefully we get the Twitter games again.

Now clicking Schedule takes you to this, in which Los Angeles has been translated to English as "The Angels"

Looking at the Styx schedule . . . no back to backs in the entire season!

Is that true for all the teams this upcoming season?

Surprised the Mystics are getting three home games on national TV since they're moving to their new, 4,200 seat arena. Hopefully they sell those games out at least.

No, but no more than one per team. Seattle appears to have the only one with two different time zones, at Atlanta on May 31st then at Chicago on June 1st.

They could have made a schedule with no back-to-backs by moving two home dates and rearranging the road schedules a bit.

Thanks, pilight. Glad to see those b2bs will be in short supply. Guess that debacle with the Aces was duly noted.

You mean when the Aces forfeited their way into the third consecutive No. 1 pick?

Now they've got the html schedule up. For some reason they've moved Mohegan to Wilkes Barre, PA, but at least it's up.

You will notice that on our trip to Washington this year, we are already on the east coast, and have nearly three full days to get to D.C.

Call me a convert a bit but that new arena is very impressive...saw a go go (how did d league approve that name? Does anyone today remember what a go go is lol) game cast and it looked full...I still say shoulda bumped to 5k but it will look good on tv i don't oppose smaller arenas i oppose arenas that lower the possible revenue power or are outdated..time will tell if they need to add a few seats but this is more on the win trust and not the Wcc end

I enjoy Lynx vs Sparks as much as the next guy but they're certainly not the most exciting teams to watch anymore. 5 games of Minnesota? Who's gonna watch that! Laughing

Last year someone suggested all the games on the final day should start at the same time, for fairness. This year they all do....except the Sparks game which starts later. I guess it wouldn't be the W if they didn't give the Sparks an advantage.
