Purdue got their first points 5 1/2 minutes in. 5-2 SC leading.

Not a great showcase for a national ESPN game.

ugliness all around. SoCar clearly doesn't deserve to be ranked.

I'm still liking Purdue's Harris. She's not great. But steady. And does her work.

'exciting' finish. Who will make the last mistake?

It's really as if Purdue doesn't want to win the game. Or perhaps they want to win it in double overtime. Or maybe they wanted to win it without the two-FT gift that Staley offered them.

2nd overtime. If only harris's 3 pter had been before the buzzer sc would have won. This could be any ones game!

Double overtime after an exciting two field goals were made in the first overtime.

Yeesh. Put this thing out of it's misery.

Purdue's offense has been SO passive. What is their strategy?

Not all good mid-major coaches can make the leap to P5 teams. Is this season the last bit of evidence that the Purdue AD needs? If so, it would be worth 'throwing' the season. This is how I often feel when Notre Dame hires another bad football coach.

It's been clear for years that Versyp can't do it. She took over a national program and has run it into the ground. It's probably too late for a new coach to fix it, but at least don't let her hang around in the job she ruined.

I don't have any real hope at this point.

I'm not a Purdue fan, but I bear the Boilermakers no ill will and want them to succeed again. How terrible to be in such a basketball state and limping through each season. Hopefully, the move comes soon, as it's pretty obvious that she is not the answer.

Substitute "McCallie" for "Versyp," and you have the same feelings among the Duke fanbase.

But with results that aren't nearly as bad as Versyp's.

acsuc99 says,

Purdue used to be a top 10 program! They don't do a thing under Versyp! Even Lin Dunn took that program to a Final 4. Even Carolyn Peck and Nell from Hell Forter were successful there!

I hope Purdue gets a coach that takes 'em back to where they belong!

Not that it matters in terms of wins and losses, but at least Versyp is a nice person and the players don’t hate her?

Also 10,000 is a good crowd for anybody. Duke can’t even get close to what they drew towards the end of the Gail era. At least the WL community still shows out for the team? Maybe? Imagine it would be that consistently with a Top Ten program.

Regardless Duke and Purdue should still be powerhouses or the household names in WCBB - starts with the captains of the ship(s). Let em go.
