The sentencing hearing for Michael Cohen was emotional at times, CNN's Kara Scannell reported.
Scannell, who was inside the courtroom, said Cohen teared up as he spoke to the judge about bringing pain and shame to his family. Sobbing could be heard in the courtroom when Cohen was finally sentenced to three years in prison.
"His family members were all very emotional. He was surrounded by friends and family. His daughter sitting right behind him, his wife, son, his mother, father, in-law, cousins, they all came over after the sentencing, which seemed like an absolute shock to them," Scannell said.
After the sentencing, Cohen and his family hugged and engaged in "long embraces," she reported. Handshakes were exchanged. |

These people act like they are allergic to living a normal, crime-free life. It's not that hard, damn.
Apparently, his daughter was quite the obnoxious snot on social media, so no sympathy. She is about to be as regular as the people she put down. The wife and son look so sad and have to be embarrassed. They are about to be without their husband/father and be super broke unless the wife's family has money. And if he was out here getting a home equity loan to payoff porn stars for Trump, he probably doesn't have a lot of liquid cash that doesn't have to be used for other stuff.
Some people envy others with a lot of material things, power, and fame, but the things some go through to get it. That comeuppance is real and no joke.
Crime doesn't pay.
