I was curious how Boley was doing so I took a look at the box score for this game. Boley is a 6'2" forward. She is taller than any player who started ofor Buffalo yesterday. Indeed, only 1 Buffalo starter was more than 5'10" (the Aussie Wilkins is 6'1"). They had one 6'3" freshman sub (who, btw, had 16 pts and 7 rebounds). Yet Boley took a total of 8 shots in the game and ALL EIGHT were from behind the arc. And she got THREE rebounds.

I didn't see the game, but I can guess where she hung out for the 30 minutes she played, and I'm betting it wasn't in the paint, even though she was taller than the entire opposing team. Now she made 5 of the 8 shots, which is great, but a few chippies and layups and rebounds might be nice given the height advantage. Ionescu, btw, had 10 rebounds. But then again, I was always taught rebounding is about 80% desire and effort and no one has ever questioned Ionescu's desire or effort.

I suspect there is a connection here to her departure from ND.

Coupla quickies:

-I've seen Oregon twice, and Foley has been a bombardier both times.

-The "triple-double"...the stat that makes more people pee their pants for no good reason.

Boley has taken 47 FGA so far and 32 of has been from three. That's 68% of her FGA from three. She's made 13 out 32 for .402.

I simply adore all the *hate* that Sabrina fields in these threads: it actually bespeaks more about the *haters* than it does her.

A. Y'all would give your left nipple and BOTH eye teeth to have her on your teams. She's that good.

B. She's not a chucker or a ball hog. She earns her stats legitimately.

C. She's a Good Kid, and a consummate team player: triples in assist are very telling.
