Debut for new Pitt head coach Lance White who spent the last 15 years as an assistant to Sue Semrau at FSU. Will be interesting to see how he does and how he is received replacing a Pittsburgh legend. Will also be interesting to see if his departure affects FSU.

Obviously UCF is not putting as much effort into WBB as they have into their successful football program.

Pitt leads 26-24 at the half.

They led by double digits much of the quarter but pretty much folded when UCF slapped on an aggressive trap press.

Pitt actually looks improved and more organized when they slow it down and play a half court game. When they speed up and run or get pressed, they get out of control.

19 Pitt turnovers have led to 23 UCF points.

UCF wins 61-58.

Let's just say the last few minutes were pretty ugly.

There's a reason Pitt is picked 13th in the ACC.

And UConn plays UCF TWICE this season. I doubt if Geno is losing any sleep over that.
