If there's anything I can do to help, let me know. Get better soon.

ok Buddy, thinking of you. Hope your rehab is going well. Don't get frustrated. It takes time! And hopefully you have some nice nurses smiling at you!

Kevin, wishing you godspeed in your recovery. If it weren't so far, I'd hand-deliver some of my reknown chicken soup.

Hey it's good to be back home again...

Still no movement in my right arm below the shoulder. Leg is progressing faster, walking with a walker up to 150'.

Appreciate all the well wishes. Please feel free to pay some of the hospital bills!

The bills are still coming in. Given what a chore it is to post, I shudder at the thought of trying to create a GoFundMe using only my off hand.

Perhaps some young stud/studette with digital skills could set one up?

You're a champ, pilight. Not surprised you're making that kind of progress. Hoping here that your right arm comes back online soon as well.

Pilight, glad to see there's improvement. It likely will be slow.

You mentioned not letting blood pressure get out of control. This is an important issue to all of us in mid or later years. If you're willing, how high was your blood pressure and were you taking any meds to control it? Do your docs think the stroke was caused, at least in part, by hypertension?

It was 180ish/100ish. I couldn't get meds because I don't have insurance and no doctor would see me to prescribe any.

That's high.

Medications can be gotten from this "Canadian" pharmacy at a fraction of U.S. drug plan prices, but they do require a prescription. This Indian pharmacy is slightly more expensive but they reportedly don't require a prescription, even though there may be a field that asks for one. Of course, one should be darn sure of the med needed.

Here is the FDA policy on importing drugs, which is allowed if the listed factors are present.

I bought meds from India for a couple years w/o any problem. Once they went OTC I didn't need to do it any more.

Shocked sending cyber hugs! I know someone who had that surgery and really felt like a new person afterward...but it takes time to heal. Be good to yourself and don't let our Rebbie arguments raise your blood pressure!
