According to Lyn Agnello, vice president of corporate partnerships for the Connecticut Sun, the team depends on sponsorships for about 40 percent of its revenue

Interesting. If the ESPN contract is really as big as people say, and sponsors are 40% - how much does that leave for ticket sales?

So if player salary is the 22% of revenue tossed around, then revenue salary cap/.22 about $12m/.22 = $55M; or $4.5 M team average. ESPN rumored to be $2m, Sponsors 1.8 M; leaves about 700k for box office. These numbers are based on rumors, guesses, etc. but who knows they might be sort of right. Of course, every team is different too.

Yet you have to wonder how teams without a jersey sponsor are getting by?
