And if Spain should win by hook or by crook.

There's no way Ndour can guard Charles, Griner, or Wilson.

They will have a field day against her.

What in hades? I didn't even notice that. I need to go home and watch the game and watch the spectacular Canadian implosion. Such a contrast to their comeback victory over France.

I'm secretly hoping that Emma torches the United States after some comments indicating that she's not in the same galaxy as some of these American players. Bulletin board material. Perfect.

Be PRECISE with your response. I said that Emma IS not in the same

galaxy as A'ja Wilson in the PAINT!!! English reading comprehension

must be an AFTERTHOUGHT in your micron mind.

Lets make a bet. When Team USA sends Belgium home, you will post

A'ja as your Avatar picture until Jan 1st 2019. Deal?

Belgium taking it to the Americans. 26-21 after 1. These Americans just don't have an answer for Emma Meeseman who's clearly isn't in the same galaxy as Aja Wilson. Rolling Eyes

I'm just going to leave this here.

Emma Meeseman 23pts, 9/15 shooting (60%), 5/5 from the line, 6 rebounds 2 assists.

Aja Wilson 0/2 FG 2 turnovers.

Whoops. While I agree that Aja Wilson is very good, it's a disservice to Emma Meeseman to claim that she's not in the same galaxy. Consider that Meeseman did this against a team with a bunch of WNBA MVP's and was just outstanding on both ends of the court.

As Myrtle said, depth took its toll on Belgium. Maybe the United States should only be allowed to take a roster of eight players instead of 11 to make it fair. Laughing

You stated:

Emma had a great game, probably the best game she has ever or ever

will play.

So tell me LOUDMOUTH, what happened to Belgium?

You stated:

"Excellent plan! I like this plan! Go Australia/Spain! Avenge Belgium!"

And based on this statement, you sound like an anti-American POS.

And while you try to formulate a response, please do tell us who your

national team is. That way we can compare your national team's accomp-

lishments to Team USA in International Basketball at the junior and senior

levels.

If you think that was the best game Emma has played... You probably haven't watched too many of her games...

Precisely. Emma has been fantastic overseas for some time in the Euroleague and Russia.

I mean, okay, but in this very same tournament, Anete Šteinberga put 30 on the United States, so I wouldn't read too much into that. Let's not forget that Yelena Leuchanka has been dominant in FIBA play, and she's very scrubalicious, compared to WNBA talent. Don't overlook the role that Meeseman's usage rate on the Belgian NT plays in that kind of output.

"Silky Johnson" you are Team USA's Coach. What starting lineup would YOU put on the floor tomorrow against the Kangaroo Riders?

Team SOCCER fans DESPISE in their fellow "American" fans that cheer

for the FOREIGN team.

Doesn't the Australian NT already have a nickname?

So far, Ndour has made fools out of us both.

5th place
France 81 - China 67

7th place
Canada 73 - Nigeria 72

Canada barely gets by Nigeria to secure 7th place. So close to a medal earlier and now barely getting 7th.

So the USA wins with half their team being newbies even though better talent opted to sit out. Replace half this squad with Diggins, McCoughtry, Moore, Fowles, Gray and DeShields.

Tuck was a COMPLETE waste of a roster spot. As for Plum & Clarendon,

place them in the, lets see how much you can grow your game by 2020.

It is time to transition to a new roster. No players over 30 for the 2020

Olympics, that eliminates McCoughtry & Fowles.

The Tokyo Olympic Games must be the LAST tournament for Elena Delle

Donne F- age 29/31, Tina Charles C - age 29/31, Nneka Ogwumike F age

- 28/30. Brittney Griner C - age 27/29 should be good until the 2022 FIBA

Women's World Cup.

Congratulations to Dawn Staley, the players, staff and USA Basketball.

Yes, the US is heavily favored in these events, and for good reason, but that doesn't mean winning a tournament like this just happens. It takes work, focus, effort and concentration, especially given how little time the team has together.

This run of dominance by the U.S. women is one of the most phenomenal in international sports, despite all the inherent American advantages.

And lastly, a special shoutout to Carol Callan, who is the common denominator in all this success ...
