Why do the USA games always get Heidi Klum for the color commentator?

Would just be weird if it happened at this point of her career

They need to bring A'ja in. She has done a great job. I think she has done better than Lloyd.

How come nobody's hyping up Steinberga? This might be the performance of the tournament.

Charles i know you are up 20+pts but it might be a good idea to start defending Steinberga Rolling Eyes

Yeah, pretty much, actually. Athletes don't typically "grow up" fourteen years into their careers. In fact, I'd take it a step further and posit that most people, by the time they're thirty-six, have done just about all the "growing up" they're gonna do.

People generally are who they are, by the time they get to be Taurasi's age, and it usually takes something pretty catastrophic to happen in their lives to get them to change.

You are correct Silky. DT is and always will be DT.
that is who she is and I love to watch her play! She is the bomb and has awards to prove it.

I missed it. Just saw that they called an unsportsmanlike. When did it happen?

I'd have to trawl the play-by-play to remember when exactly it happened but it wasn't all that dramatic. Taurasi got fouled, and while she was laying on the floor afterwards she tossed the ball at the player who'd fouled her. Definite tech, but nothing more.

Griner picking up three offensive fouls in the course of one game (and only 13mins of action) was the more meaningful stat. Gotta play smarter than that.

about 5:53 in the 3rd.

You know, I just watched the game for the first time, and it does look like she was just trying to throw the ball off the opposing player (right on the baseline) to keep the possession. She pointed her arm right after to show "we have the ball" and seemed really confused that it didn't seem to be seen that way.

And believe me, I am not inclined to give D the benefit of the doubt at all, but it really does seem that way to me...
