Ir's amazing how unconvincing you can be while winning by 25+.

That Nigeria team looks leagues better than what we saw in 2016. Have to wonder how much better they'd be if the Ogwumike sisters opted to play for them years ago.

Nigeria played well against Australia. Akhator actually played solid D against Cambage. Maybe she's trying to get another shot in the W next season.

She should, but you're going to have a handful of post players drafted in the first round next year.

That being said, if Kelsey Bone can keep getting signed, I like Akhator's chances.

In the last game of the day, Puerto Rico looking completely outmatched vs. Belgium. One FG in the first quarter. Belgium leads 18-3.

Belgium is a fun team too watch. They look like young eager puppies ready to go Laughing

Brazil. Just goes to show how bad Brazil is now.

Mercy rule for this Puerto Rico/Belgium game? Does Puerto Rico even score 20?

Looking at Brazil's roster, they've clearly done a horrible job of building their program: their "golden generation" never even amounted to much, and they don't appear to have done much of anything to develop the players to come after them.

But yeah, Puerto Rico is just completely out of their depth. Belgium's not even playing that well; they'd get smoked playing like this, against any halfway decent team in the draw.

Hopefully we get some Ann Wauters time in the second half.

"Puerto Rico, with a chance to close to a forty-two point game..."

The SHADE of it all.

The unbalance of births per federation shows in this World Cup.

If Belgium played the entire second half with Ann Wauters, Emma Meeseman, and three women out of the bleachers, how much of a shot would you give Puerto Rico to get within single digits?

Puerto Rico's WNBA talent (Gwathmey & O'Neill) are a combined 0-16 at the half

Meesseman with 8 pts, 11 reb, 4 ast at the half

No that would be the dumbest thing to do. She has been dealing with injuries for the last year. She has practised with the team but in a game like this you are not going to give her minutes.

Yeah, Wauters ain't gonna play. I'd send Meesseman back to the hotel at this point too. Wauters's kids are right near us in the crowd and they could probably close this one out. Comfortably.

They are underestimating Belgium. That will be a fun matchup

Yeah, seems a nice enough place. I'm at the smaller arena, so Latvia-China, then the France, US and Belgium wins.
