If you really must move her (which I don't really think is true) maybe Lavender to Indy for Shenise Johnson. That would give Indy the freedom to move Dupree if they wish. MoMo would be perfect fit for LA if she comes fully back from her injury, though a bit of a gamble because of the injury. I guess the question there is if she and BayBay could play together again since it seems like there was possibly some bad feeling between them at the end in Miami.

The only bad feeling that was had between the two was one chose the POT feeling and the other did not which forced one to miss the NCAA tourney and piss off the rest of her teammates. Although thats almost a decade old not sure if its still a factor between the 2. Shenise hasn't played in what 5 years now it seems

Expensive replacement for Quinn. Use that money up before Stewart becomes a RFA. Then you’ll have to learn to be more frugal, unless Bird retires by then.

I thought you liked her as the 6th man.

Is this going to be an even swap? How do Liberty fans feel about this? It would save the Sparks about $25K.

We cant keep coring Langhorne. Eventually we are going to need that core for someone else. And with the arrival of Howard i dont see more then 10-15 min for Langhorne. She maybe will be happy with that this season because she has a chance at a ring. But how wil that be next season.

Quinn is not in the rotation right now. So i would like a strong guard next to Canada next season who can be a solid defender and be an offensive weapon.

Shenise Johnson and Riquana Williams.

Major overhaul for Kursk. Gone are Nneka, Angel (injured), Vadeeva, and Ciak. Replaced by Parker, Stewart, Xargay, and Anoikina. Maybe Nneka arranged for CP to be her replacement. Or maybe each plays a half season if Nneka wants a break after doing Team USA.

Good for CP to get her juices flowing again and I think Nneka wanted a shorter season. Think there is a lot of movement of players this year.

Still a crazily loaded squad, though. Kursk-UMMC looks like a titanic battle again. Something like this for UMMC:

Vandersloot/Baric/Beglova
McBride/Belyakova
Torrens/Musina
Meesseman/Vieru
JJones/Vadeeva

And something like this for Kursk:

Prince/Levchenko
Xargay/Cruz/Zhedik
Petrovic/Kirillova
Stewart/Vidmer
Parker/Anoikina

Kursk don't look as deep, but just as talented at the top end. Every chance that they'll end up playing each other in a EuroLeague Women semi-final again.

Griner claims to be returning to UMMC, so they’ll be hard to beat.

Quote:
n 533 minutes with Parker, Ogwumike and Gray on the floor, the Sparks outscored opponents by 12.6 points per 100 possessions per Positive Residual.

Tack the team’s 14-8 record this regular season with all three onto the back-to-back 26-8 finishes and you’re looking at a 73 percent regular season winning percentage.

Congrats to Billie Jean!

That said, there is one other personal connection between her and Major League Baseball (which the article didn't mention): her brother, Randy Moffitt was a relief pitcher for the San Francisco Giants during the 1970's. He also played for the Houston Astros and the Toronto Blue Jays in the early-1980's.

I'm curious how much money did Billie and her partner Ilona put in to join the Guggenheim partnership group (which owns the Dodgers and the Sparks, and Magic Johnson is another partner).

It seems a long ways from the days when the Dodgers escorted out two lesbian fans kissing each other during a game, in August 2000. Rolling Eyes

Awesome! I'm excited for her!! It looks like Player's Only is a part of this deal. I wonder if they will finally re-broadcast the one she did with DT and Maya.

Awesome!

Yes ... as long as she doesn't pull a Kara Lawson.

Naaa, I don't think she would.... She has meant so much to the game that I just can't see her or anyone being cool with her getting comfy in that chair, never coming back to the league and never uttering a word about retirement. Of course, some folks believe the league may be at a tipping point with the push for better salaries, travel, shift in leadership, CBA discussions....

Please don't get me started on Kara...lol! I mean, like, did I completely miss her official retirement? I'm sure there is back story to her story and I get it, it is her life and her choice regarding how she navigates her career...That being said, I have to admit that every time I see her, I'm like, why didn't she formally retire so that we could properly honor her? Kara was a great player... a great bball mind and is an awesome analyst. I wonder if she'll jump fully into coaching at some point (she's done some 3 on 3s) or perhaps try with another NBA team. I mean, just how open is the door for female coaches? Becky and Toliver definitely got some opportunities that it seems at one point she was striving for... We shall see!

Good for Parker. I think she's smart and eloquent enough to have a broadcasting career if she wants it (and a little safer for the broadcaster than hiring someone like Taurasi). Lawson was a lot closer to done than Parker is right now when she faded away into TV rather than playing, so hopefully she still has several years left on the court.

CP is doing such a great job! Head and shoulders, this is her best broadcast role. It is a super good look for her and female ballers, in general. There is so much respect amongst the crew. They break down plays, talk trash..take it to the court...If you haven't seen her yet, please check it out! #PlayersOnlyBaby #GameTime
