So apparently you never saw a single game Williams played during four years in Tulsa.

Candace shouldn't have to request a trade...Brian just need to trade her while there still some value. The receiving gotta know that her legs will not give them 17/10/6 a night on short rest though. Jlav and Sims gotta go too.
Beard might retire.

Trade her to Chicago, get Cheyenne Parker back, and hope no one notices the difference when you're still selling games with your Parker/Ogwumike frontcourt. Smile

I chuckled the first 213,546,324 times you said that. Now it's just kind of obnoxious, tbh. Lol. New material, please.

His argument got rather strengthened when Sims took a contract 2-3 years shorter and 50 grand per year less than she could've received on the open market this offseason.

Not sure how that strengthens his argument since whatever agreement Odyssey Sims, her agent and the Sparks came to did not break any rules, that fact that she accepted an offer lower than she could have gotten from other regardless of the reason why doesn't mean the Sparks broke the rules or played by different rules than any other team.

For all the people who are saying they are unhappy with the Jantel Lavender's play and she should be traded do you ever considered she is doing exactly what Brian Agler and the rest of the staff is asking her to do. The fact that you think she should do more doesn't mean she is not playing the role asked of her. And I'd have to imagine if the staff was unhappy with her play she wouldn't be getting the minutes she is getting.

They're asking her to not rebound ? Not box out ? Not make shots ? Not be effective in the game ? I think her minutes are more to do with not having another option than her deserving them .

The Sparks have to start paying Chelsea Gray, so they’ll already be forced to lose at least one of Beard, Carson, or Riquna.... or possibly Sims. Plus they’d have to deal down one of the player’s contracts that don’t go overseas like they did with Sims this year.

Or they could trade Lavender, but that might be a tough sell since they signed her for max. I could see her going to a low budget team like the Aces who could use a solid center especially if they don’t get a Top 2 pick or they don’t want one of the prospect centers. But Lavender doesn’t really fit the defensive mold that Laimbeer likes.

Even though you don’t have the same quality of roster as the Sparks, you’re running into cap space problems yourself.

This could be a good trade , but somewhat risky. LA Knows stokes will rebound but will she hit shots ? NY knows lavender will hit shots but will she rebound ? Laughing

Lavender for Copper

Chi gets starting level PF or at least someone who makes a nice two headed PF with Cheyenne Parker. LA gets 3 and D small forward basically Carson 2.0 who has one more year of rookie scale contract.

IMO it would need to be Copper plus something. I like Copper but She's more like a third tier player, with Lavender being second tier. Maybe #15 would be enough to add to Copper. I don't think Lavender is exactly what Chicago needs but she could be useful.

If you really must move her (which I don't really think is true) maybe Lavender to Indy for Shenise Johnson. That would give Indy the freedom to move Dupree if they wish. MoMo would be perfect fit for LA if she comes fully back from her injury, though a bit of a gamble because of the injury. I guess the question there is if she and BayBay could play together again since it seems like there was possibly some bad feeling between them at the end in Miami.

I agree to a point but Copper is still in the improving portion of her career while I think Lavender is in the decline of hers, and Copper is cheaper which also gives LA some cap relief that the Sparks need as well.

Also some above have suggested Stokes for Lavender. I would not do that if I was NY.

From a Chicago Sky perspective,I don't think a Copper for Lavender deal makes any sense.Chicago's major weakness is defense.A defensive frontline of Dolson,Parker and Lavender would be a recipe for disaster...Lavender’s best defensive position is center...Only teams with mobile Power Forwards capable of playing defense should trade for Lavender (Conn,NY.ATL.Wash,LV,Sea)

Expensive replacement for Quinn. Use that money up before Stewart becomes a RFA. Then you’ll have to learn to be more frugal, unless Bird retires by then.

Is this going to be an even swap? How do Liberty fans feel about this? It would save the Sparks about $25K.
