True. This despite the vaunted Sun bench outscoring the Merc reserves 9-4.

And the Mercury bench slightly won on points per minute played.
Sun 9 points in 47 minutes = .19
Mercury 4 points in 19 minutes = .21

If this fucker brings it up one more time about DT and elimination games.....𤎠|
It's highly misleading when worded that way. If she was actually undefeated in elimination games, the Mercury would have won the title every year. |
Itâs winner take all games. And itâs impresive.
Really, over a series, usually the best team wins. Do or Die games, you want the best player.
Despite the horrible three point foul...I gotta say, Talbot has gone from a player that made me stab my Sandy voodoo doll every time Talbot entered the game, âomg donât take her out EVER.â
I love three and D players. She does the dirty work. I wish refs would stop calling a travel on her pretty Euro step move. (Yes, technically a travel, but most players get away with it. )
All the credit in the world to her for her massive improvement and giving the Merc exactly what they need from that spot. Hope sheâs back next season.
Pass it to Britney is the best play in the WNBA. Maybe only bested by âgive the ball to Diana.â (Which tends to lead to âpass the ball to Brit.â
Canât say enough about DT. And watching her in person is something else. Hate all you want guys, youâre loss.
Also, screw you Candace. A rare time when I root for you, and you get blown out by the Styx. Phoenix is capable of beating Seattle, but giving Sue the opportunity to knock out Diana, doesnât typically end well for Diana.

Stat of the night... Connecticut Sun outscored 15-2 points in the final 3:56 of the game. Hopefully they can finish more games next year.

I think Phoenix is going to be tired in their series vs. Seattle.

DTâs interview got her trending on twitter. This type
Of stuff is good for the game.
I know most people who watch wbb prefer golden girls, but itâs players like Liz and DT that bring the excitement from the rest of the sports and entertainment world.
Also..want to compliment the refs this game. They didnât over react. They let the teams play equal physically, and didnât really know they were there. Good job by that crew.
Also..Sandyâs outfit was pure fire.

Connecticut was supposed to have the edge because
a) deeper bench -- not quite.
b) younger and more rested -- collapsed late.
Taurasi was something, and though the Griner haters will disagree, she's matured into a tremendous player. She knows where she can score, she passes well out of double teams, she's always been the greatest shotblocker in the women's game, and her defense in general (the tip on that pass late was crucial) is outstanding.
And credit to Talbot. When your fifth best player misses a three badly because she rushed it and shouldn't have taken it, and then drains the next one to tie the game late on the road in the playoffs -- that's steel.

DT may have anger issues, but I'm with her on this one. You want to clap in my face, you better beat me -- if you don't, you're going to hear about it.

She's routinely the biggest asshole in the game, but her play is so outstanding it's hard to hate on her. |
I disagree: Taurasi is very easy to hate... and that's what I like about her the most.

Sheâs giving me Niels Giffey vibes. (Giff is one of my top 5 all time favorite Uconn men players.)
Went to this game with my father, and he loved her. (âNumber 8 has to do the dirty work for this team.â)
