| Twigs great memories of lots of these girls, though I don't recognize them all. I understand this is statistical comparison - but some of them actually have similar games and others...

We're still working from a pretty small database. Fewer than 900 players have played in the league, and a fair number of those were already mid-career when they started in the league (and thus don't show up as similar to any real rookies).

When you get down to 945 that's not very similar for a rookie. Actually, Sykes not having any close matches is a good thing for Atlanta fans. The old saying is that happy families are all the same but unhappy ones are each unhappy in their own way. Basketball players are like that; mediocre ones are all the same but good ones are each good in their own way. You can see that in the scores. Sykes & Gray, who had the best rookie seasons, don't have any very close matches and have few relatively close (980+) matches.

| My question if two players have score that suggests they are quite similar what does that mean? Does it mean they could play the same positions? Or that they will have the same kind of career path? Or something else?

for Vivians ? Eye test wise i dont see , Lake could jump out the gym and had a nice pull up jumper. Vivans was just a 3 point shooter. Eye test id put her more in a Lori Koehn Category on the low end , High end Allie Quigley

I meant physically -- Laurie Koehn and Victoria Vivians do not greet the eye in quite the same way.

| For rookie seasons I went to Sidney Spencer for Vivians. But for similarity scores, a lot of it depends on the age of the player. If you entered the league at a different age you're probably not going to show up on their list. |

I am particularly surprised by Catchings. Even as a rookie, she was much more well-rounded than DT or Arike. |
They score 959, which is not all that close. Just closer than anyone else. When you're talking about rookies who score 600-ish points that cuts out 99% of the possibilities.
