Who should host the 2019 ASG? I excluded this year's host(Minnesota), last year's host(Seattle) & New York(because the league won't have the game in Westchester).

LA has never hosted it, so do we really think Vegas will host it before the Sparks?

I voted for Vegas. I have a hunch the players themselves would rather be in Vegas than LA.

LA should have hosted the ASG a long time ago. The fact they haven’t indicates to me the Sparks and/or the WNBA itself isn’t very interested.

I voted for Las Vegas because it is a great city for spectacle. One issue that could go against it is the NBA Summer League, but perhaps they could use it as a tie-in. Have the final game of the Summer League and the All-Star game on the same weekend.

I don't think Vegas will host it next year as it would only be their second season there. Still pulling for Los Angeles. Maybe Vegas in 2021?

Well, Vegas wins!! Just odd a second year team is hosting while Los Angeles hasn't.

To the people who voted “Neutral Site”, how about telling which city or region you would want next year’s ASG take place?

I am very glad that Vegas will be hosting next year. My husband and I are already talking about taking the trip and going to the game. One possible reason why LA has never hosted is that they do not have a strong enough fan base. For the size of the LA area, they don’t fill the stadium, even during the playoffs. Here in Minnesota, normal season games are tough to get good seats. During the playoffs, even halfway decent seats are impossible. And this All Star game was definitely sold out and crazy fun!

LV will be a great site for the game. It's usually cheap to fly there and lots of other entertainment options are available.

I was going through some Twitter post when I saw the one from Lisa Borders that was posted hours ago stating that Vegas was the next destination.

I still find it odd, though. The league wanted a team in Chicago from day one, but couldn't get a team until the mid 2000's. One would think they'd want an ASG there as well, media-wise.

It's not a matter of just handing a team/city the ASG. It costs money to host the game, so a team losing money isn't likely to fork over more money for the game. Maybe this is why Magic & the Sparks don't want it. 2021 will be the 25th anniversary for the league, so I'm really hope the Sparks, one of only three original teams left, will host the game then.

The Sparks are the only one of the three who haven't hosted the ASG

The options by then for a first time host will be between LA, Chicago, Dallas, Indiana & Atlanta. It really needs to be in LA.

I hope that the All-Star Game raises the profile of the Aces in Las Vegas. That said I will take two trips to Las Vegas next season (the same as this year) for Aces games but I have no interest in the All-Star game. I'd rather see games that matter and the players are trying to win.

Chicago would be a very tough city to hold the All-Star game in. Although you can drive there from several major cities, including here in Minneapolis, it is very expensive to stay anywhere in Chicago, and then you have to add in the cost of food, parking, etc... I have visited and stayed in many major cities, for AAU tournaments, for work, or vacation, and Chicago is the least affordable of all of them. For fans to try to get anything out of the experience, it is more than most people want to spend for WNBA.
