An Aces' win and a Sun lose today moves Vegas into a tie at 8th place. Season series is tied 1-1, third game scheduled for Aug. 5 in Connecticut.

Had Jefferson been healthy and in the rotation at the start of the season.LV would probably be a top 6 seed right now.

Dupree is just so bad at defense, Wilson is going to have a field day.

Swords has slowly turned into the Aces' best option at center. Probably due to be back under Laimbeer's system.

It changes game to game. Laimbeer is doing center by committee.
This is why anybody that doesn’t think he would prefer McCowan or Brown in the draft aren’t paying attention.

Unless they make the play-offs. Then maybe Gustafson at #5? or Magbegor and Wilson slides over to C?

The Aces with a top 5 pick next year and possibly a FA signing would be very good for several years.

Swords quietly with a double-double: 12pts & 10 rebs.

Aces have gone 1-7, then 5-5, then 6-1.
Playoffs still seem unlikely, but there's plenty to like with another high draft pick going into next season.

No, Wilson is not going to slide over to center.

They need help, either from Connecticut or Washington.

Aces better take a step back and look at the bigger picture.Going back to the start of last season.LV/Chicago both have a 20-39 record...If the Aces finish 5 games better than the Sky....Chicago will get the 2nd most ping pong balls.

Current records:

Las Vegas:12-13
Chicago:8-17

Kelsey Plum had a nice game -- not great, not spectacular, but solid. You'd like more from a No. 1 overall pick, sure, but competence is not to be sniffed at.

Speaking of which, the three Fever guards went 6-30.

It was a bad draft. For all the kvetching about Plum, it's not like anyone else from that class is doing any better this season.
