Time to ramp up the championship effort. Hopefully, Alana has gotten sufficient rest for that groin pull. It would be nice to have Syd the Kid active again. It's time to rock & roll for the WNBA's Showtime! team!

A Fever loss will mathematically eliminate them from playoff contention

Caps off a 29-14 quarter for the Fever. Can they do it?

Is this Sparks team just snake bitten this season? Somebody critical keeps going down for whatever reason. Does Nneka have back trouble again?

What if Every Team in the WNBA Is Tanking (except the Storm, Aces, and maybe the Dream?) Because every time the Lynx string together losses than make no sense to me, all the the other teams around them in the standings, including the Sparks, pull off similar losses? 😵

I definitely believed she did. I never understood why she wasn't being integrated better in LA and why she seemed so tentative when she was on the floor for the Sparks.

No Nneka and AB is a problem without question but the dramatic difference in guard play post Cappie is staggering. How well the other guards were doing was the reason Agler gave for not being able to promise Cappie more playing time. Thank goodness for CP and Lav bc this may have been a whole mess! It kinda was but sheesh!!

Whelp, on to the next game! Hopefully, the guards can pull themselves together and everyone is back on the court for the rest of the season!

So Vadeeva got 16 minutes against the worst team in the league and did very little.

Obviously, it's just one game, and yes, she's just figuring out the league, but there were many who felt she would step in and be a contributor.

So how long will it take for her to live up to the hype? Or will she turn into another Euro underachiever?

Apparently, our resident Nigerian Nightmare was ill. And here I was thinking she was practically indestructible!

Nneka: "No, Jap! I'm not Supergirl! You have to settle for Nerd City Kid I!!!"

We gotta get Nneka & Alana back as soon as possible. Those two, along with Essence, are our top defensive stoppers. And we need Syd the Kid back as well. It seems like Riquna is either on, scorching hot!, or completely off these days, and we need a consistent downtown threat to balance with Chelsea & Candace on the nights when our resident Mad Bomber is outa ammo. I was hoping to see Odyssey regain her touch beyond the arc, but she has been mostly inconsistent in that regard this season. Masha is still in proto-Messiah form, awaiting Brian's coming anointing while she grows in WNBA experience, technique, and the Holy Ghost. And whatever happened to Karlie's downtown touch? She was 1-1 from sniper range last night, but we needed more.

Thankfully, CP3 is re-committing herself to slithering through defenses in Gumby-esque fashion to get to the hoop again, but last night was one night when you really wished some of Jantel's long two's were actually treys.

Next up, we invade the Chi-town, the closest WNBA city to Candace's hometown of St. Louis, MO and her high school stomping grounds of Naperville, MO. Her home crew, her family, including her grandma will all be in residence. Will we be seeing another CP3 fest?

Well the starters just played dumb last night. We should have dominated in the paint both offensively and defensively and we don't even try to expose them on either end. You have a team who basically shoots elbow shots as they are undersized in the post and you don't guard them wtf. I player who just jacks up 3s and you lose them and poor ball handlers and you don't pressure them. Just an all around shitty game and should have kept rotation going and not played players who were not doing their job.

She is only 20 years old. Lets give her a little more time before writing her off. Also she only gets about 5 -8min per game. Hard to get some confidence and rythm with those kind of minutes let alone a 20 year old in a foreign country
