It's hard to separate lack of talent from what is seen as poor coaching ...
Sigur's info is usually reliable, so maybe Stocks is to blame. But this isn't much of a roster, and Coates has been a massive disappointment considering where she was drafted.

While the roster isn't great, they should be better than getting blown out in two straight games (with one of those games getting literally embarrassed by the New York freaking Liberty). A line up that consists of Sloot, Quigley, DeShields, and Dolson should be playing better, IMO.

Which Stocks is to blame, she shouldn't have been drafted #2 in the first place.

Coates appears to be the best post player available in the seems-weak 2017 draft (don't see any real #4s) but with Parker, Dolson, McGee-Stafford and Breland, Chicago could have gone for a wing. At that point Chicago had Copper and Young at 3, Quigley and Pondexter at 2.
#1 Kelsey Plum
#2 Alaina Coates
#3 Evelyn Akhator
#4 Alisha Gray
#5 Nia Coffey
#6 Shatori Walker-Kimbrough
#7 Brittney Sykes
#8 Brionna Jones
#9 Tori Jonkoska
#10 Kaela Davis
#11 Sydney Wiese
#12 Alexis Jones
Round #2 had:
#14 Alexis Peterson
#16 Leticia Romero
#17 Erica McCall
#23 Brianna Lewis
Round #3 had:
#26 Saniya Chong
#29 Alexis Prince
#33 Makayla Epps

Is it true that Stocks was so desperate for Kelsey Plum, the only reason she drafted Coates, and not the player the knowledgeable Sky fans here wanted (Alisha Gray), was because it was presumed to take a package including Coates to get Plum from San Antonio? Did the Sky really need Plum when they had Vandersloot & Quigley, though I suppose if you think Plum has a higher ceiling, and since she's younger, if you can get her cheap, you might as well?
