Gives us another combo guard who is a much better 3 point threat, and who is having a good season. Hopefully familiarity with Hayes and Angel and Collen helps the transition.

Bentley isn't really a 3P threat. She's 30% this season, which matches her career average.

It’s a relatively better threat compared to Clarendon.

What’s going on with Prince? Is she earning that 7-day contract?
Linnea Harper has been earning hers.

I thought Prince might get in yesterday when we had a 17 point lead going into the 4th quarter, but no such luck. She looked fine at shootaround.

30% would put her ahead of Angel (23%), Tip (28%), Sykes (24%) and Dantas (24%) - all players who seem to think they are 3 point threats. She would only trail Montgomery (35%) and (believe it or not) Dietrick (38.5% with a total of 5 so far this season). Of course, players all seem to lose their shooting touch after a few days in Atlanta...... Sad

A new role for Baltimore native, Atlanta Dream star Angel McCoughtry with same old goal

http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/nba/bs-sp-angel-mccoughtry-baltimore-mystics-20180711-story.html

Quote:
Before the Atlanta Dream forward and Baltimore native evolved into a seven-time WNBA All-Defensive team honoree and four-time All-Star, she and her father, Roi, a forward for Coppin State in the 1970s, used to trek 60 miles to watch the newborn Mystics play.

Standing on the Washington court in 2018, the memories haven’t lost that luster.

After pilighting her Dream to the WNBA finals three times in eight seasons and walking away empty-handed, there’s a hunger still.

“I want to get a championship ring,” she said. “[Dream teammate] Renee Montgomery, we got to see her ring [from the Minnesota Lynx] and I was so inspired and I’m like, I really want to accomplish that goal.”

That was at the game in Minneapolis not too long ago when Montgomery got her ring.

Not interested. She's not getting minutes because she's not very good.

She’s better than you think. Just needs the opportunity that seems to be available in ATL.

An opportunity to do what? Miss shots and turn the ball over? We've got plenty of people who can do that already.

seems like the Dream have been undefeated since the trade good move in my opinion seems like Hayes would have made the all star if the were still going by conference.

She didn't play today for "personal reasons". Could be a lot of things, including a disgruntled player.

Just noting that as of yesterday, Alexis Prince is locked down under contract for the remainder of the season.

Oooh I should be able to make the 8/11 game. During the week it's too tough getting from where I work down to midtown by 7pm. I'm all for a bargain lol

I'm debating whether it is cheaper to just go to the box office and buy the tickets there or go for the $15 deal+whatever King's Ransom TicketMaster's junk fees will be.

I noticed they bragged up all their multi year signings, but stopped short of saying McCoughtry was signed for multi years. Do your work, Reeve. Wink

Yea that Tip is staying! Plus, she needs the money. According her Twitter, she's got a fine to pay for the elbow to the face of Brunson.

@tiphayes3
I’m sick of getting fined for everything. Making a play, wearing certain things...I’m broke i do not have time to get fined for a cross over!!!
