Quote:
Connecticut Sun guard Courtney Williams has been absent from the team’s West Coast trip due to a physical altercation with teammate Alex Bentley in a public location, multiple league sources tell WNBAinsidr. The team had reported that Williams was away from the team and did not make the trip due to personal reasons.

This is can't be good. I guess Williams isn't one of those that have "good locker room moral".

I wonder if this means she's on the trade block

I'm sure Phoenix would take her back.

If the former USF guard is looking to make a change, Florida West would be great! Speedy guard with midrange and outside game would suuuurrree help my Sparks!! lol!

Is this even true? Who are these sources who wrote this story? Are they credible?

How do you know she was the one who initiated it?

My guess would be because she is missing games and bentley is getting playing time Wink but what ive seen in snspchat takeovers is that they are pretty good friends. So this would be pretty strange

"Multiple sources" verified the altercation but no one can say what type of altercation it was or where it happened. I can understand how "multiple sources" couldn't comment on her scope of absence from the team. That would be a decision for other multiple sources to decide.

So multiple people saw this to verify say something happened but no one can say where it took place or how it happened.

I find that strange and a little unbelievable.

BTW, I am one in Phoenix who would take her back. Never wanted her to go.

The problem with "not gonna play" punishments is that it hurts the team as much as the player. If the team can issue the player a fine that's what I would do instead of loss of playing time.

She could play the 4 for the Mercury. She's averaging 6 rebounds a game.

I was just about to post the same. Pretty good value for CT. Good fit for Clarendon, who should work well with CT’s propensity for high tempo play.

Also, getting Clarendon will enable Banham to only cover SG which hopefully gets her more PPG.

Are they going to play Jasmine Thomas at the 2aswell because I think Clarendon is a player that needs more minutes to be effective

Banham's not played much point anyway. Bentley was the backup PG most of the time.

On the other side, Bentley is better than Monty IMO. And she fits well with Atlanta.

That's what I'm thinking. However, Bentley has shown she can play off the bench so they may not rock the boat much.

Hmm she is a gunner though. Angel, Hayes and Sykes are pretty similar. Lets hope that goes well

So i guess the story was true after all . Sucks to see friendships end . Should make for an interesting match up when these 2 go head to head.
