Why hasn”t Bec Allen been playing? She can’t be worse than what’s already out on the floor.

not sure that's true...

When nobody stopped Cloud’s dribble after the Zellous make I would have yanked all 3 guards right there. I’m tired of lazy transition defense. This isn’t Liberty basketball.

And you believe this is something Katie Lou Samuelson can fix though right? Laughing

At least she’ll try hard. And probably help them score more than 8 points in the fourth quarter. And have chemistry with Nurse. And make it harder to triple team Tina.

And the more they score the less they have to play transition defense. So yeah, I think she would help.

plus she would teach the team some flopping skills. Every team needs at least one excellent flopper.

Nurse is already gifted at it. So is Gabby Williams. Must be a UConn thing.

I'm not one of the Hayes haters but they claim she flops.

The fourth quarter collapse is a bad sign ... it tells me the players give up and the coaches can't do anything about it.

You can say "Oh, the game is lost and it doesn't matter," but you would hope that the players looking for more minutes would play hard, and you would hope that the coaches have managed to instill some kind of pride, or at least professionalism, in the team.

This is just sad more than anything else ... the franchise that was once the flagship of the league has been reduced to ineffectual irrelevance.

The Art of the Flop is required reading at UConn

And the game was still in the balance at the end of the third quarter. Even worse, a player who shows the most competitive fire and ability to play hard through adversity (Nurse) has been relegated to the bench.

Maybe it’s health, I don’t know. I mentioned the thing with her going inside during warmups. But she’s still dressed and still coming out at the start of the second quarter as she’s been all year. So I’m skeptical that’s it is health but trying to give a coach I’m no fan of the benefit of the doubt. But the lack of heart is even worse than losing. The ‘09 team was 13-21 but I never got the impression that they gave up. They just didn’t have talent. This is some of both. Frustrating.

24.2% from 3 this year. Cloud nails 2 in a row. It’s just unreal.

CWS keeps talking about how much Cloud's worked on her 3pt shot, was about time it looked like it Laughing

some like KLS get an A+ in that course. Nurse and Gabby are probably B to B-. Hayes is an A as well. Dolson gives it a try from time to time but more like a B-. On the other hand D. Adams was also an A+ and she didn't go to UConn - must have snuck the manual from a UConn player! And Stewie always got the superstar calls so didn't need to take the course.

I give Nurse an A off the ball. She draws a lot of offensive fouls off the ball.

Atkins illustrates the difference between 2017 and 2018 draft classes pretty well. She's better than Sykes and Gray were last season but might not even be top 5 this year. This class is crazy stacked.
