what the heck is up with Maya? She's always been so dependable, but today she barely showed up.

Just finished watching the replay and first thoughts are "Well Damn Capatcha Does Have A Lil Somethin Left In the tank" Shocked

Minnesota slept through the entire game. Sylvia especially for some reason pokey tends to win that battle. Maya played like she was hungover from all night bible study. Whalen looks like shes hurting just to run out there. Jones has regressed. Mone looked a step slow. Brunson the oldest of the mohicans had the most energy of all the golden girls tonight. Not gonna cut it in the playoffs especially one and done.

What a surprise. MN in a close game and Syl elbows opposing player in the face. Shocked the refs actually called something on it.

It is way past time that they should have been calling this tatic. She does it all the time and hardly ever gets it called. Accidentlly
my bum, she has done this often and hardly ever gets called for the foul. Cool Sad

Maybe there is something to that veteran leadership thing

There is, but it has more to do with teaching the younger players how to eat, work out, and read defenses, and less to do with the other team randomly putting up a 37.3% eFG.

If Cappie actually tries to teach the younger players that kind of thing they might be more inclined to listen to her, than a coach or older player with a less illustrious career. Anyway, LA is 0-1 w/o Cappie and Indy is 1-0. Who would have thought??? Razz

So much for the experiment of having Dupree step up and be a leader.

Is this the most stunning result of the season? Of any season?

I think last year’s loss to Indiana was more stunning.
The Lynx were a clear championship level team last year, and this year they’ve shown vulnerabilities.

Like all teams, complacency is always a risk when facing a weak opponent.
