I don't think Griner gets officiated any differently than Fowles or Cambage. Not saying any of it is good officiating, but I don't buy that Griner gets beat up in ways the other elite post players don't.

+/-, as often noted, is shaky in one game, but still ...
Gabby: -15 in 22:41
Cheyenne: +15 in 19:23

I think maybe coaches take it more seriously than we think. I think they look at during games to see what players are working best for them if they have doubts about who to play or how long to leave them in. It is sort of a measure of momentum. I do notice coaches looking at stat shees a lot during games. It would be interesting to know what they are looking at.

Even without the +/- number, most experienced coaches have a feel as to which player, and which sets of players, are performing better. If they don't, they generally don't get to add much more experience.

I totally disagree. I have watched Big Syl and many others including Dolson, be all over BG and no foul was called. How about when sly got her in the eye a few years ago and BG was out for awhile or last year when she lost the MVP because she missed too many games to win it. BG does commit fouls but she has never injuried anyone. She most certainly doesn't get fouls that should be called in HER favor at lot of times. Seems to me that a lot of teams try to foul her out due to how good she is.

I mean, I would do the same thing to get an advantage.

Particularly because of how easy it is to get under her skin.
Despite her size, she’s actually a finesse player.

Her rebounding says obviously.
