Clearly the lack of parity is bad for the sport

I barely watched them last year. Will definitely be skipping the finals this year. Was really pulling for a Celtics-Rockets finals.

I used to really like the Warriors, and I used to really like KD.
But now that they're together ... meh.

Brad Stevens took the Celtics to within one game of the NBA Finals, after losing Gordon Hayward for the year and losing Kyrie Irving since mid-March. Very, very impressive.

And yet another postseason injury for Chris Paul, which derailed Houston's shot at the NBA Finals. He has had some terrible luck in his career.

That being said, the ECF and WCF were tremendously exciting. Both series went to seven games for the first time since 1979.

Unfortunately, the NBA Finals is giving us more of the same, in the sense of another GSW-CLE matchup.

People on social media aren't exactly happy to see another Cavs-Warriors Final. It'll be interesting to see what the ratings are and how long the series goes.

Paul injury didn't derail the team---chucking up 3s when they were up by 11 and missing 27 in a row did them in. If just on 5 of those 27, they drove to the basket for a 2, it's a Cleveland-Houston series. They kept throwing up those bricked 3s like they were down 11, not winning the game. Houston has only itself and it's hideous shot selection to blame for being on vacation and not playing into June.

anyone watch the Finals? Warriors swept the Cavs. Curious what the ratings were for the finals.

I watched. But after Game #1, there was a sense of inevitability - not just that the Warriors would win, but that Golden State would sweep.
