I need LA to redeem themselves after getting a beat down on national tv.

The loss to the Sun was winnable had the Sparks remained relatively fresh. However, all the active movement of the short Sparks lineup designed to offset the greater height advantage of the Sun players caught up to them when the team simply got flat-out worn down with three games in a tight time stretch.

That was definitely not the case Thursday night when the Storm simply beat the snot out of our Ladies. With the amount of trouble the Sparks have had with the Storm over the years . . . even when they [the Storm] were supposedly a 'poor' team . . . you would think the Ladies of LaLa would never take them for granted or feel they could just go through the motions against them. No one knows your team better than those teams in your own conference.

Alysha "Hell no!, I'm not just eye candy!!!" Clark is one of those dreaded tweeners at 5-feet, 11-inches and some 167 pounds. Not enough handle to serve as a legitimate guard and not preferably big enough to fill out a SF role. However, she makes up for her so-called inadequacies with a fine bball mind and finesse. I always respected her game & efforts to downplay her weaknesses, but how the hell did she get making out like a defender of the year against the Purple & Gold.

The LaLa crew better put out today, or Masha might turn around and head back to her motherland.

Is Candace still hurting, or did she mostly just had a bad night? She indicated after the second victory over Las Lynx that she still wasn't 100%. Granted the team is strong enough in these later years that a loss is not necessarily guaranteed when she fails to show up offensively, but you never want to see CP3 struggling with her O game.

I need them to keep doing what they were doing. Helps keep hope alive for the more stable Lynx fans.

The young Sky have two rookies I was interested in having the Sparks obtain as a future replacement for Alana - Diamond DeShields and Gabby Williams. Diamond was the preference as she can handle both SG & SF duties.

Can we count on CP3 to execute one of her post game recruiting jobs as she has done before wit Kristi Toliver? Kristi loved to talk about how after a game against the Sparks, Candace told her,

"We would LOVE to have you in LA!"

Murphy: "Throughout [DeShields'] young career, there have been comparisons to Candace Parker!"

Why is Diamond coming off the bench?....Makes no sense to me....Diamond & Copper's games are very similar....DD also avg 19.7p/5.7r in the 3 games prior to the Phoenix blowout....Gabby should be the one coming off the bench.

It looks like both C. Parkers in the box score are doing very well, but I think the C. Parker for Chicago has better stats than the one from LA.

Sparks sleep-walking through the latter part of the first half, letting a 14-point lead get whittled down.

Four-point play in the last 10 seconds of the first half give LA a 7-point lead heading into the break.

Is the Sparks commercial showing "Technical Difficulties" is a dig at League Pass?

Was that an offensive foul on Cheyenne Parker? Looked like a pretty weak call to me.

Essence's shot has been looking so good! I wish they would work her into the offense more.

She is probably the reason why Brian still likes to use his small lineup. When playing at the 4 spot, she is faster than most PFs and can free herself up for good looks at the net. And she can slide to SF or even SG in a pinch.

25:15 playing time for CP3. Good! Keep her well rested for when the all star track & field team from Atlanta invades the Staples Center next Tuesday night, led by the Dark Angel and Tiffany "Speedy Gonzales" Hayes. Tiffany is probably Alana's most athletic assignment. Jantel is still working her way back into mid-season form. After looking promising early on from beyond the arc, the team has taken steps backwards the last few games.
