I don't get why Mavunga and McCall are shooting from so far out. Do they normally do that?

Our three point shooting is actually saving us this game.

No Rebecca Allen in the first half. Very limited minutes (4:41) for Brittany Boyd.

Hard to see exactly why Gwathmey is even on the Fever, let alone playing.

I never understood how Gwathmey has been playing in the league now 3 years.

I'm not sure why 6 pts and 4 ast is getting so much hate.

Yet another screen from Zahui frees up Rodgers for a three.

Rodgers is hot, so why take her out in the final minutes?

Perhaps K Smith doesn't believe in the Hot Hand fallacy

Exciting game. Making up for a lackluster first half.

That was a terrible possession by the Fever. The Liberty win!

That last Fever possession looked completely uncoached.

Liberty pull this one out somehow. Solid bench production and very little use of the small line-up.

We need more rebounding!
Good game otherwise.

I know that New York was without Prince and Stokes today. I know that Tina Charles won't often shoot 4-15. Nevertheless, barely winning a home game against a winless team without Dupree doesn't encourage me much.
The Liberty had only three offensive rebounds and had 15 turnovers. They shot an outstanding 13-24 from three-point range (Rodgers 5-9), a stat I believe the team won't often match.
It was noteworthy that the Liberty's best run of the game came with these five players on the court: Charles, Nurse, Zahui B., Boyd, and Rodgers. One starter and four subs.
As for Katie Smith's substitution choices (I've been one of the critics), today she brought in Marissa Coleman--who'd been sitting for quite a while--for the crucial offensive possession. Smith got that one right.
