Their ranking seems pretty fair. Besides the Dream, they've lost only to the teams ranked above them.

Dallas not ahead of the Dream? The Wings beat the Dream twice (in Dallas by 23 and then in Atlanta by Cool. Does that make up for the fact that they have one less win (5-3 vs. 4-3)?

League trying so hard to keep the Lynx in a positive spotlight. Surprised they didn't rank them ahead of Dallas and Washington.

Massey's computer poll looks just about the same.
https://www.masseyratings.com/rate.php?s=wnba2018

... the Lynx have had the toughest schedule, and the Liberty had the easiest schedule up til the Lynx game.

Silly computer poll doesn't know who Candace Parker is.

I'd have a hard time justifying the Dream ahead of the Wings because they beat us twice. Of course, Dream beat the Sun twice as well.

I'm pretty much in agreement with that except the Lyttle injury move Phoenix down from 1 to about 4. I'm not sure if they factor that in though.

Given the fact that Phoenix has not played a game since Lyttle got injured, why would you move Phoenix down for games that have not yet been played in her absence?

Because I don't think they will be as good w/o her. I thought Power Rankings were supposed to be forward looking. If they are just based on games already played they are pointless. Standings and box scores tell you what team won each game that already happened..

Power Rankings are where the teams are, weighted for performances since the last ranking. That is why Minnesota is up to #2 in the Power Rankings, despite not being among the top four teams in the standings (at the time the Power Rankings were published). They are based on games already, with heavy emphasis on the recent play.

It's a difference of opinion as to what a power ranking is. I think it should reflect the teams chances of winning the games ahead of it taking into account recent games and other developments such as injuries. While I have felt that the Mercury should be ranked No. 1 for the past week or so, I think the loss of Lyttle hurts their chance of winning future games. If I'm right (and I may well be wrong) then I suppose your ranking will reflect that after a few losses happen. If they prove they can win without her, then they will move up in my rankings. Now maybe I'm overrating Lyttle, but I think the top 4 are quite close anyway and far ahead of all of the other teams.

I stand corrected. Looks like Bonner is a better 4 than Lyttle......
