I just started this project to cover the tattooed players of the W: WNBA Tattoos

So far I've created the 2018 League Report with a numerical breakdown of every team in the WNBA, plus the entry for the Seattle Storm.

Hope you like what is already available and what is to come! Will be posting updates as I cover the rest of the teams. Very Happy

PS: If you have any info or tip or discover any mistake let me know so I keep the site as updated and accurate as possible!

Why are George and Johnson (Wings) listed as "he" in tattoo descriptions?

I think that any team Cappie Pondexter is on will win the "most tattoos" prize:

I for one believe all the tattoos should be covered. They are all hideous.

Combination of English not being my first language and always having written about men hoops and scientific papers where the default is "he".

Shame on me. Will keep a closer eye and attention on it!

I've seen a few beautiful ones, and some in memory of someone/something special that are understandable, but in general they are IMO pretty ugly and I always think about what they will look like in 40 years, when the skin droops and or stretches to accommodate extra pounds ...plus the ink tends to fade. But then, I'm not much into jewelry either so my understanding of such things is limited.

Honestly, leaving out if they're ugly or whatever, I think they're cool to be visible because they truly add to the experience and personality of the players and the game, at least under my point of view.

It is the same with the haircuts, the kicks, and all that.

Let's have some fun and forget about the Xs & Os for a bit guys!

Added the following breakdowns:

- Dream: 25% (3 with, 9 without)
- Aces: 23% (3 with, 10 without)
- Wings: 23% (3 with, 10 without)

So how do you know whether any of the players have tattoos in places most often hidden from public view?

Impossible to know. Only way is by looking for interviews where they talk about them, and trying to find photos on their IG or Twitter accounts that may show something not visible while on the court.

Imani McGee-Stafford definitely has tats. She talked about them in the article you linked under Tamera Young.

Skylar has one on her back as well. I'm pretty sure I saw some birds right behind Azura Stevens ear.

Yo! Thanks to everybody contributing and adding info about not-so-known tatts out there!

I'll add them to the DB and publish them when I cover the teams of those players.

Thanks again!

Added the Washington Mystics and updated the Seattle Storm (B Stewart and J Loyd have tatts I had not seen).

And with that we come closer (41%) to a 50% of the W having ink on their bodies! Very Happy

...on the other hand, if you had just gone out and done it, what would they do about it? Be pissed off at you for awhile? Grounded you for awhile? It's not like it's erasable.

Lol. Right. My cousin snuck and got hers and hid it. I just didn’t want to hear my mom’s mouth so I waited lol
