| Every Mystics player scored at least 4 points. Only Atkins didn't get a rebound. Only Thomas and Hines-Allen didn't record an assist.

The only thing I can figure is that Gwathmey looks great in practice but can't replicate in games. There really doesn't seem to be any reason for her to start ahead of Vivians, unless Vivians doesn't know the plays and/or doesn't defend well either individually or team-wise.
Still, she's not going to get any better on the bench, and what's Gwathmey's ceiling?
On the other hand, if, like Kelsey Mitchell, Vivians comes off the bench but still gets lots of minutes, that's fine ... but really, Jazmon Gwathmey as a WNBA starter?

It is really puzzling. Maybe though like I said, she reminds Pokey of T. Young - maybe it's the tats - and we know she always had a thing for T. Young. ViVi was a pretty good defender in college so I don't think she's hopeless, and she's definitely not the total liability on offense that Gwathmey appears to be. There's also some players who just look flashy, even though they're really not doing much positive for their team.
At any rate, this team is so bad, it's not apparent that anything would help.
