Oops ... forgot about that Durant guy.
But he doesn't guard the other team's post, and sometimes not the power forward.

Maybe Karlie will finally get a chance to strut her stuff. That is, if Brain actually lets her play. Without CP3 to float around the front court, Brian will have to get creative with the non-Nneka players.
5-foot, 7-inch Riquna has been employed at least briefly at SF before, probably due to her impressive hops. So she may not stay rooted at the SG spot entirely. Syd the Kid can float between PG, SG, & SF. I don't how well her defensive game has improved, but she can certainly help out offensively. I can see Essence helping out at PF/SF. Alana can assist at PF/SF/SG. Chelsea is our top PG, but has the strength to bang at SF/PF. Odyssey & Cappie are best both confined to PG/SG.
Lailaa says she is tall enough to suit up.

So does Agler throw Karlie into the fire tomorrow and start her at PF?

Are you benching Parker or Ogwumike for her? |

The Sparks announced Candace isn't playing tomorrow. I don't know the reason why.

Ah okay, I missed that, sorry toad455. Makes Samuelson a slightly odd pickup. She's really not much more of a 4 than Beard or Carson. |

She’s a butt hurt whiner who doesn’t want to be there because the Lynx are getting their rings. Typical Parker. As usual, she’s all about me me me and doesn’t give a fuck about her team. I don’t buy the back pain shit at all. A dentist appointment would have been a better excuse.

The conspiracy theories are in full swing on Twitter, but I don’t buy it. Guessing Samuelson was already going to be picked up as it takes time for waivers and contracts etc. CP3 was probably a last second decision.

Interesting theory ... but I don't quite get it ...
If she's all about "me," then what difference does it make if the other team gets rings?
And of course you know her personally ...

She did whine openly on social media about the league scheduling Minnesota's ring-ceremony game against their opponents from the Finals, so apparently it does make some difference to her. But I still find it a little far-fetched to suggest that she's faking/embellishing an injury in order to avoid the game entirely. |

I don’t believe she’s faking an injury. Parker is the ultimate competitor, and why wouldn’t she want to be there with her team to try and beat the team they lost to in the finals? I’m no Parker fan but no conspiracy here for me.

...but no way does she pass up a chance to defeat the Lynx because of a complaint. She may be a bit of a whiner, but she is also fiercely competitive.
And talented.

Hope Parker has an MVP season. |
She didn't win the championship last season, and this is one gal who loves to win! Everyone else can go on rolling out their picks for this year's MVP, but a motivated CP3 who came within inches of capturing her second WNBA crown is the dark mare I will be riding. |
Exactly.

Apparently Parker didn't travel with the team today to Indiana and isn't expected to play vs. the Fever tomorrow night.

Aargh. My concern is Nneka having to play damn near 40 minutes a game again. Hopefully CP will be back against Connecticut, we will definitely need her!
On a related note, I read a Mechelle Voepel piece earlier today saying that Vadeeva has a visa appointment on June 1. Assuming that she can't come over until after that appointment, this is no bueno. Yes, we are getting Lavender back relatively soon, and yes, Agler only plays Parker, Ogwumike, and Lavender anyways, but I want a 4th post. I mean there has to be some other post available for short term relief. Karlie Samuelson played decent yesterday, but a post she is not. |

Parker stayed home. That typically means she’s missing the whole road trip, which includes Indiana and Connecticut, before they go back home.

Add me to the group that doesnt think she faking a injury. She already had watched Lynx celebrate winning a title in gm 5 so I think being in TC while the Lynx raise their banner & get their rings was the issue. Its not like LA has to be on their bench for those two things, I think they can stay in their locker room.It was more so the fact that the league gave Minny the respect not to watch LA get their rings & raise their banner after losing a heartbreak gm while not doing the same for LA.
