Was it in Seattle? I thought she posted about it before she got here.

I'd be surprised if it were in Seattle. Can one afford a house in Seattle on a WNBA salary these days?

I assumed whichever of Hamlin or Lewis cut from Dallas would be the big for Seattle to take. Apparently it's Hamblin, so hopefully Dan realizes the need for some height since he essentially has three 6'2" posts plus Stewie who is not a C. [we know paris is only 6'4" if you add a couple of horizontal inches to her height]...

I could see that working. A center-sized body for the bench, but this time without having to give up pick #6 for it!
Ruth would certainly be happy with that location.

Will one of those take minutes from Stewart, Langhorne, Howard or Paris? I dont think so. Yes im all for adding size but only if that player has a realistic chance of playing more then 5 minutes per game..

Well, Hamblin's now available, or does Hughes wait to see if someone better gets waived?

I suppose he wouldn’t have to add another big, but if Hughes is serious about Stewart playing major time at SF, then it would seem to be the direction to go.

Lib fans are acting like either Russell or Zahui could be going. Zahui in particular would be an interesting match for SEA. Hughes might try and hold out for Hamby, who he drafted. He passed on Alleyne before. Would he do it again?

I basically feel their roster is set for 11 players. Adding in another center instead of keeping Crvendakic or Muldrow would greatly benefit the Storm in the long run. I'd also be in favor of cutting Quinn and keeping one of Crvendakic or Muldrow.

PG: Bird/Canada
SG: Loyd/Whitcomb
SF: Clark/KML/Crvendakic or Muldrow
PF: Stewart/Howard
C: Langhorne/Paris/Hamblin? Zahui B?

It totally depends on game situation, number of fouls, who the opponent is, illness or injury, etc... Seattle in particular needs some kind of height to deal with contingencies. While Hamlin is not the most athletic stick, she does have heft with her height and has shown that she can block shots and apparently she's added a three point shot to her repertoire as well. A 6'2" player matched up against 6'8" is no contest. I guess because she is sort of like Swords and Seattle had no idea how to use Swords, you think she would be worthless. I would hope that a new coach would figure the use out...like Bill has with Swords in the past.

I'm just trying to keep you guys out of the lottery...for obvious reasons. Wink

I get what your saying but there is a difference between adding someone like Swords (solid veteran backup) and adding somone like Hamlin(bench filler).. Swords didnt work out because they didnt know how to use her and she couldnt stay out of foul trouble.

Good for her. After reading her story and misery at ND, I am happy for her.

Yeah, if I were a Storm fan hearing about KML's extension, the Loyd deal is what I'd want to focus on, too.

Hughes giving out contract extensions like they’re candy, and KML loves candy.

Okay, the Schimmel idea is out. Quinn can stay.

Bird/Canada
Loyd/Whitcomb/Quinn
Clark/KML
Stewart/Howard/Crvendakic
Langhorne/Paris

Let’s forget about Stewart at SF.
