Defensively, it looked much better than it did against the Mystics. Our actual rotation guards did a lot better. Posts had more mess ups on their communication and rotation, but overall, it was a better. Offense looked smoother too. Obvious preseason mistakes happened but similar to the defense, just much improved compared to last Sunday.

I'm enjoying DRob and Tanisha already. They are after people on the defense end on every possession. Plus T fits in vocally with the team. She was communicating a lot from the bench to the players on the floor. Temi looked similar to the Temi of last year. Mental mistakes and not being able to catch and hold onto the ball. AJ was aggressive and we need that from her. She was able to get a lot of good looks in transition for 3 and her teammates found her. Kizer didn't play much due to looking like something was hurting her back or something. Alleyne impressed me with her hustle, but she is definitely a project that needs some work. Carlie's two baskets were tough drives to the rim. Obviously the transition from college to pro speed isn't instilled over night, but she needs to make some jumps for me to even think about making the team. But her getting open and making better passes was much better tonight than Sunday. Camille didn't get much of a look. Hardworker, but just isn't going to make it. Hopefully we get Z back soon and Endy, as well.

Chicago looked flustered a majority of the night. Obviously Sloot helps make it look better, but it just seemed like a rough night for them. I guess Dolson is their go-to, but it just seems like they don't have that star player that is going to get them a bucket. Quig's shooting was off. Gabby's two scores were layups. Her shot wasn't pretty from anywhere else. She did get a few steals by getting around her matchup on some post ups. Coates is going to be a foul machine, if she doesn't learn quick. Minny put her in the pick and roll immediately once she checked in and she struggled mightily. I barely remember anyone else even making some sort of stand out play. Stocks was really into the 5 in, 5 out subbing pattern for the longest time.
