Last chance to shine in Brian's eyes on a public stage before the roster gets sliced & diced to 12/11. Is Riquna ready to rock & roll with Brian ball, or is she a trade/cut casualty? Has Shakayla done enough to impress Brian, or is she still another victim of a too heavily stacked roster? Does Maria become the new baby girl of the Sparks, especially with Jantel still missing in training camp action, or does that honor remain/go to someone else? Is everyone getting physically, mentally, & spiritually primed for Las Lynx, or are they setting themselves up for a serious wakeup call in a little over a week's time?

It will be Masha Masha, Masha.loll. I think I will refer to her as that all year. Too many other Maria's of interest. They finally processed my League Pass and it appears that Saturdays games will be broad cast. It sure took them long enough to set up that site to function this season.

League pass support told me that no pre season games will be on Legue pass

Riquna is the first Spark off the bench. If she can get into a consistent groove this season, she can upgrade this team's offense all by herself. Hopefully, she has been working on her defensive assertiveness too.

These are supposed to be the kind of decisions coaches love to make, although I do not always see it that way. I mean, you very well may end up having to see a player you have cut in another uniform eventually, and you know! that player is gonna try to have a career night at your expense every single time she plays you.

Have to give credit to China - time and again they get blown out by teams made up with a few regulars and a number players just hoping to make a WNBA team but they keep coming back year after year.

I'm kinda thinking they made a mistake signing Cappie. Now they'll have to give away some young assets and I'm not convinced Cappie will actually be able to help them.

Riquna was the Mad Bomber tonight: 14 points (5-9 overall, 4-6 from downtown), 2 rebbies, an assist, a steal, a block, a turnover, & 4 PFs. Was she trying to make a statement?

Penny Toler has a history of putting together highly talented poorly constructed rosters.

2008-Trading for Milton-Jones after drafting C.Parker.
2009-Signing T.Thompson.
2014-Not re-signing Coleman...Trading J.O'Hea...Then signing A.Herrington.

With Williams and Sims already on the roster, signing Cappie made no sense...JMO.

LA's going to end up cutting one or two players who could've played key roles off the bench.

even without Bay Bay, they didn't need Cappie IMO.

It has more to do with Riquna's guaranteed contract...LA should have traded Riquna before signing Cappie.

Agreed...Sims earned her money and playing time last season.

I wonder if Candace lobbied for the Cappie Patch Doll. After all, they did play together overseas.

Would it really be that bad if Wiese was cut from this team though? Yes she is a good spot up 3pointer but thats about it tbh. She cant create her own shot and her ballhandling is not that great. So putting her in pick&roll situations is not really an option either (only when she is the decoy shooter on the other wing)

Who is Agler going to play in the playoffs? My money is on Cappie and tbh i rather have Cappie shooting midrange jumpers in the playoffs then Carson bricking away or even Beard..

But yeah they should of gotten rid of Williams contract

Cappie WILL shoot. She can shoot you into games...but she is just as likely to shoot you out of them. And it seems like increasingly it is the latter.
