Why not suspend her then?

I wonder if she had a setback? Plaisance tore her ACL three months after Shenise Johnson, and now it sounds like they’ll be ready about the same time.

They should suspend her, especially if she ends up not playing at all this season.

PG: KMitchell/Wheeler
SG: TMitchell/Pohlen-Mavunga/Abdelkader
SF: Vivians/Gwathmey
PF: Dupree/Mavunga, McCall or Graves
C: Larkin's/Achonwa/Alexander

Johnson's injury wasn't just an ACL, there was a lot of other damage in her knee that needed to be cleaned up. This isn't unexpected.

Key points in Kevin Messenger‘s roster notes
http://fever.wnba.com/news/getting-to-know-the-fever-training-camp-roster/

#11 • NATALIE ACHONWA • C
Quote:
Achonwa is a returning center who started 17 games and appeared in all 34 last season for the Fever. She should remain a staple in the Fever’s post rotation.

#40 • KAYLA ALEXANDER • C
Quote:
Alexander symbolizes Indiana’s movement toward size and athleticism.

#8 • HIND BEN ABDELKADER • G
Quote:
A point guard, she is better known for her quick shooting release and deep shooting range, averaging 17.5 points per game and 42 percent shooting from 3-point range in Hatay, Turkey this past winter.

#4 • CANDICE DUPREE • F
Quote:
Dupree is expected to anchor a revamped Fever lineup that could give her greater flexibility and allow her to maintain a career shooting percentage above 50 percent.

#12 • BASHAARA GRAVES • F
Quote:
She could challenge for a roster spot at power forward.

#1 • JAZMON GWATHMEY • Guard
Quote:
Impressively, she led the Fever with 22 blocked shots. She should again remain as a valuable depth component in Indiana’s guard rotation.

#5 • JENNIFER HAMSON • C
Quote:
With a slight build, Hamson’s challenge will be to score and rebound consistently.

#42 • SHENISE JOHNSON • G
Quote:
Last year Indiana was 2-16 without her. Her surgery and rehab have gone well and she is on track to return late in the 2018 season.

#2 • ERLANA LARKINS • C
Quote:
Larkins remains a very valuable leader and rebounder, but she will need to stave off Father Time and younger challengers to increase that productivity in 2018.

#23 • STEPHANIE MAVUNGA • F
Quote:
The sister-in-law of Fever guard Jeanette Pohlen-Mavunga, she could contribute as a rookie.

#22 • ERICA McCALL • F
Quote:
As a second-year player, she will need to be more assertive and compete with the influx of newcomers.

#0 • KELSEY MITCHELL • G
Quote:
With the Fever, she is likely to split time with Erica Wheeler at the point, and with several other players at the 2-guard.

#3 • TIFFANY MITCHELL • G
Quote:
Tiffany Mitchell already owns status as the best free throw shooter in Fever history — nearly 92 percent with over 200 attempts in two seasons.

#9 • ALEXIS PETERSON • G
Quote:
Peterson led the Orange to the 2016 national championship game which was played at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

#32 • JEANETTE POHLEN-MAVUNGA • G
Quote:
With age and the influx of highly regarded guards, Pohlen-Mavunga will again be challenged to find ways to contribute.

#7 • JENNIE SIMMS • G
Quote:
Indiana picked her up for four games to end the season. With strong offensive skills, Fever coaches re-signed her as a free agent in February.

#35 • VICTORIA VIVIANS • G
Quote:
“Queen Victoria” should see a significant role at both the “2” or “3” positions.

#17 • ERICA WHEELER • G
Quote:
This year, she is the incumbent starter at point guard, expected to help tutor Kelsey Mitchell as her backup.

Trying to find a way to add Peterson to the roster.
Wheeler/Peterson
TMitchell/KMitchell/SJohnson(until 100%)
Gwathmey/Vivians/Pohlen-Mavunga
Dupree/Mavunga
Achonwa/Larkins/Alexander

Their post situation is a bit confusing to me. Who will start at center when Larkins and Dupree come back?

That means players like McCall and Abdelkader have probably hurt themselves by not being in camp.

Who between Gwathmey and Pohlen has got to go, or do they ignore Peterson’s 3-3 and 10-10 FT plus game high 4 assists in today’s preseason game?

FT shooting shouldn't determine if a player makes a team or not. Sure she's aggressive in getting to the basket and drawing fouls, but I wonder how she did as a PG and running the floor.

I disagree. Getting to the line is a quality all coaches love in a player, and for good reason.

She also got a game high 4 assists, as I said before.

Can you see her doing this on a consistent basis during the regular season ? Idea

Does Hamson have any real basketball skills besides being tall?

It wouldn't appear so.

a strong defensive center. best quality is blocking shots & working the pick & roll. Hamson's problem(s) was always she's not a reliable scorer and doesn't like getting physical inside. Though I could see Seattle taking a chance on her since they're thin inside currently.

Working the pick and roll? A big problem a lot of these giants have is that players go shooting by them off picks, or they can't recover back into the paint after picks bring them outside. I continue to be baffled by the pervading fondness for big white stiffs. Hamblin's in the same camp.

I think Hamblin's quite a bit better than Hamson.

I think they're both a waste of space in this league . Id prefer Hamson seeing as though i already have to deal with Hamlin and her slow feet , at least Hamson will block some shots occasionally.

No.

That this happened right after the game makes me think McCall will be back in another day or so.

You talking about Stevens? That stereotyping is pitiful.

So they are at 13 now with Johnson. Don't think they need all those posts, so I'm guessing Johnson may be back sooner than later. Last cut is either McCall or Mavunga.
