Might be better.

Care to elaborate on that?

Pleaasee ? Shocked Shocked

Only thing i could see making this team better is if Seattle ends up in the lottery . Sabrina Ionescu declares early and Minny Ruins the league Laughing

I kinda like this roster you’ve come up with, except probably not Barta.
It sounds like the Lynx might have to start out with 11 for about a month, so maybe bring back Wagner at that time.

Moore played very well in the final game, finishing with 26 points and 10 assists on 7-13 shooting from the field and 10-10 from the line. Fellow WNBA star Brittney Griner led the team with 35 points.

Fowles
Meesseman
Griner

Though Ekaterinburg’s series sweep means Moore can return to the states soon, Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve said on Sunday that she expects Moore to take a few days off before returning to practice.

Take your time, Maya. The longer we can put off the toad tears when Zimmerman is cut, the better. Wink

Or, y'know, the version without random late-round youngsters Reeve would never play:

PG: Whalen/Robinson/Jones
SG: Augustus/Wright
SF: Moore/Zandalasini
PF: Brunson/Miyem
C: Fowles/Kizer
(Fagbenle)

The 12th player is never going to play anyways, so the very important "cheerleader" role of cheering for the Lynx starters and main backups when they make plays and giving high-fives to teammates during timeouts should go to the person who has the most experience of cheering for the Lynx as a fan the longest. Very Happy

She means that they went against a live defense. In scrimmage form

Maybe that will save me from having to learn how to pronounce her name. It's "Grimace" when I say it to myself.

yeah me too, though Queenie told us last year how to, as Shades has here. Still it was Grimace. What were those parents thinking? I'm imagining the old Tulsa announcer trying to say it...

Well that's interesting ....

http://www.startribune.com/lynetta-kizer-appreciates-getting-a-shot-playing-for-lynx/481842631/

Lynx sign forward

The Lynx signed 6-3 forward Jillian Alleyne, a second-round pick by Phoenix
in 2016. Alleyne averaged 17.9 points and 14.3 rebounds as a senior at
Oregon, but that season was cut short because of a torn knee ligament that
also cost her the 2016 season. She was waived by New Your on Thursday.

New Your?

Alleyne must be a tryout for backup center? She doesn’t exhibit the stretch post qualities Reeve was looking for in Barta, plus she was a very poor FT shooter in the Spanish league.

NY has sort of crowded post position so getting cut may not say that much about Alleyne. And who know, maybe Russell was killin it in camp so NY decided to she was the better rookie post.

Interesting. wonder if she’ll be able to impress Reeve enough to make the team.

I certainly wouldn't expect Alleyne to make the roster, but interesting that she's been signed just as Miyem's missed Schio's last three games in the Italian playoffs. Also, Fagbenle played in the preseason game yesterday despite them saying that she was coming into camp with an injury. All seems a little bit confused among the backup posts in Minnesota at the minute.

When Youngblood transcribed his interview audio recording for his article, I wonder if he thought “Endy” sounded like “Temi”.

Maybe Miyem is injured and may not show and Alleyne is basically taking her spot in camp?

Temi Fagbenle Is Ready To Show Off Her Progress

http://lynx.wnba.com/news/temi-fagbenle-is-ready-to-show-off-her-progress/

Quote:
A few days after her arrival to Lynx training camp straight off of winning the Polish League’s Finals MVP, Fagbenle’s improvement has caught coach Cheryl Reeve’s eye.

Quote:
“I’m more confident. I have the skills, I always had the skills, it’s just about the confidence,” Fagbenle said.

Quote:
Reeve said after practice on Wednesday that she feels good about Fagbenle’s position heading towards roster cuts.

Quote:
“Really simple, whether it’s Temi or Kizer or anybody: defend without fouling and don’t turn it over,” Reeve said. “If you do those two things you have a chance to be on the floor longer.”

Quote:
Fagbenle has slimmed down—she lost 23 pounds in the offseason

Lost 23 pounds? Sounds good!

Nothing said here about her being hurt.
