My Expectations for Cambage-15p/8r with very good interior defense...This should be enough, along with Diggins,Johnson,etc...for Dallas to win 22-25 games, and get a top 4 seed.

How much you want to bet 25 wins gets you the #1 seed this year?

Only once in the last eight seasons has the #1 seed had 25 or fewer wins

Well it figures to be between 25 and 29. That’s not too big of a spread. This year has a top teams beating each other up feel to it.
How often does 25 wins get you the #4 seed?

I said 22-25 wins...and a top 4 seed....A top 4 seed is the 1st,2nd,3rd,or 4th seed....I did not say "The 4th seed"...I said "A top 4 seed"

Do you think it could an all West Top 4? I’m thinking LAS, hopefully MIN, and PHX as a top 3. Do you think Dallas will be better than PHX?

1.Minny
2.Phoenix
3.LA
4.Dallas
5.Washington
6.Connecticut
Minnesota's avg 26 wins over the last 7 seasons, and finished as the top seed 6 times. The Mercury have the talent to challenge Minny for the top spot. But there are questions that need to be answered:
1.With Bonner making her return, will Griner regress to being a 15p/6r player?
2.How focused and motivated is Taurasi?
3.How much does Taurasi have left?
4.Has Bonner fully recovered from her pregnancy?
LA signed Cappie(Don't like the move) and drafted Vadeeva(Minutes will be limited)...If Phoenix looks disinterested,I can see the Wings finishing as high as 2nd...Dallas should finish in the 2-6 seed range. No lower than 6th.

Perhaps it is time for the Predictions thread so we can get all our guesses in one place.

With Z and Shaqator having potential to play the 3, Christmas-Kelly starting and Powers as her backup, I think Thornton will be the final cut.
Cambage/Hamblin
Johnson/Z/Plaisance/Shaqator
Christmas-Kelly/Powers
Gray/Davis
Diggins-Smith/Chong
Is my final roster, looks like a strong starting 5 with 2 top 5 players at there respective positions, + Johnson, and a good 3 and D spot up shooter in Christmas-Kelly. |

Hamblin ain't making the final roster unless she's drastically improved. I'm really pulling for Goodwin. I just don't see the need for both Hamblin & Akhator.

Being 5 days late in a three week training camp is not the start I would have liked. She should have made sure everything was in order ahead of time. At least she’s there which probably still shocks a couple people.

I halfway expected her to "miss the plane" again

I was actually surprised that someone from the team hadn't made sure that she had all the boxes checked ahead of time. I mean, you expect them to act like responsible adults but when she's that important to your team, why not have Phillips who she apparently knows/likes/trust subtly semi-babysit.

Was this issue a team problem or a Cambage problem? Either way, sloppy start. Cambage is here just in time for media day, so it’s probably like another day off which she probably needs anyway to get over jet lag. She should have gotten here at least a week early to get used to everything.
