1.Atlanta should be a playoff team.Unfortunately, they have a history of underperforming during the regular season.

2.Not really big on the Liberty this season.

3.Washington will be better than expected...Addition by subtraction, and playing a real small forward alongside EDD(Currie)

1 and 2 the only sure bets. 3 Looks pretty soild, just not as good as 1 and 2. 4-9 could end up in any order. Dream could be a lottery team or go to the finals. I see Dallas as a real wild card as well. These all assume no injuries beyond what we know now.

The most surprising disappointing team could be the Lynx if a few injuries happen.

I think Atlanta is going to suprise some people. They could do some damage if they can push the pace.

Clarendon-Hayes-McCoughtry-Breland- Williams is a pretty good starting line-up and then you have a potential 6th player of the year winner in Sykes, Montgomery and Imani off the bench. That is 20 pts off the bench right there

There will be two lottery teams from the previous season that will make the playoffs. There will be two playoff teams from the previous season that will be in the lottery.

For all the people who have Dallas top 5, I'm assuming you see them as at minimum an average defensive team this year? Yes, they lose Paris, but how much does Cambage help them defensively? And they add Stevens, who had an up and down college career as a rookie post, which likely means a learning curve that 80-90% of rookies face. She's not going to be an immediate starter so even if she adds something on defense, how impactful will she be given her likely minutes? I still see a team that has questionable interior defense at best and is a questionable pick and roll defensive team at best. To be top 5, they'd have to be near the top in offensive efficiency (I could see maybe 3rd after LA and MINN) and no worse than 7th or 8th in defense. I don't see #1 in offense and #7 or #8 in defense. I see more like #3 or 4 offense and #9 or 10 defense, which would place them at or around .500. What is everyone else seeing that I don't see? Sure, there's a good deal of firepower. But it's still not a very good ball movement team outside of Diggins and there's no defensive identity to speak of.

One thing that can't be argued regardless of anyone's personal opinions...the influx of talent back into the league has really diversified the prognostications. I can't recall such a divergence in the predictions in quite awhile.

They'll definitely push pace. The fact that Renee and Sykes come off the bench make this team likely to lead the league in possessions per game. I agree on the talent. This is a solid team. They'll probably miss Sancho in terms of leadership and defense but this is a solid group and Breland is an intriguing replacement. Boyette also gives them the ability to alter their lineup in terms of size if need be.

Agreed. This year appears to have more competitiveness than recent seasons. Most of the weaker teams got better, while LA did not improve as much, MN may even be a step slower and DC is now playing w/o a couple of their best players.

Be careful what you wish for. Your team might draft another D. Peters or Amber Harris. Very Happy

Anyone else firmly believe the league needs to expand just based on the talent level? Too many good players will be cut this year and next year will be even worse with the '19 draft being deep as well.

There are plenty of people who claim there is insufficient talent to expand

And yet when a dedicated WNBA fan tries to identify potentially good WNBA owners, they get shot down because the WNBA is a “poor investment”.
