I really want to believe that there's a trade in the works. But I think there's a simpler and stupider explanation: the .com accidentally posted it prematurely, they have a ticket in with turner.com to get it out, and there's no SLA for resolution because the contract with them allows them to prioritize the NBA. That very thing has happened before.

So, I took a sojourn to Seattle over the weekend, and I LOVE the area that Key Arena is in. It's such a nice arena and easy-ish to get to. Heck, as a peripheral WNBA fan having a place like that in Denver to go to games would be darn exciting. Such a contrast to what's happening in New York.

Next time WNBA players complain about how much they make, just show them pics like this.

A Revving Maserati Engine has a Biological Effect on Women

A study conducted by British insurance company Hiscox reveals that the sound of a revving Maserati engine has a biological effect on women. Those who took part in the study listened to a variety of engine sounds from a number of cars, and after hearing the Maserati engine, all of the female test subjects had higher testosterone levels in their blood. High testosterone levels in the blood can be indicative of a stirred libido. (Or an insistent desire to try out for the Detroit Shock.)

According to the study, of all the cars tested, the Maserati sound elicited the greatest testosterone response.

If Quinn isn't guaranteed, is it time to cut her?

PG: Bird/Canada
SG: Loyd/Whitcomb
SF: Clark/Muldrow/KML
PF: Stewart/Howard/Crvendakic
C: Langhorne/Paris

Stewie was a humility legend at UConn for signing her NLI on the hood of a Maserati.

Or something.

Bird/Canada
Loyd/Whitcomb/Quinn
Clark/(Muldrow vs KML)
Stewart/Howard/Crvendakic
Langhorne/Paris

In case Canada’s transition isn’t that seamless, I would keep Quinn in reserve.
Not having a second round pick kept things simple for SEA. Got a PG, got a SF. Simple

agree about Quinn. Plus it's always good to have a third guard who can in an emergency actually play the point. Don't know enough about Crvendakic to know if she sticks. Is she on a guaranteed?

Muldrow could play some PF in a pinch. Unless there is injury though the 4 main posts will all play lots of minutes - Stewie in the 30s, Lang and Paris close to 20, and Howard whatever cleanup minutes are available so I don't see much time available for the 5th post.

Are you sold on Muldrow yet? I say trade Alexis Peterson to the Mystics for Devereaux Peters.

Seattle is in a logjam at the PG position (Bird, Canada, Quin)
Washington is in a logjam at the post (Delle Donne, Thomas, Hines-Allen, Hawkins, Sanders)

Seattle at a logjam at PG?!?! Quinn's the emergency PG now & Peterson's gone. No logjam at all.

That's why I would try to trade Peterson for a backup post

Muldrow has been one of my favs all year. I really think/hope she can make this team.

No, she’s on a training camp contract. But her EuroLeague team is in the Final Four, and she seems a part of the success. The euro experts can speak better on that. Who would be a better option?
