7 straight OT losses for UCONN, and 4 of them were to ND.

Great game. Congrats to McGraw on a great game plan.

UConn loses 3 games in 4+ years and all were in OT. How can I complain about rooting for a team like that!

Congrats to ND for the win, congrats to both for a fantastic finish. Best to watch on Gamecast to avoid the sloppiness.

Wow! Just Wow!

I had a gut feeling that ND was gonna pull it out. They've come close a lot lately. I think how they ramped up their defense vs Oregon made me think they could do it and they did it.

Also, it helps that UConn sucked from the three-point line and getting into foul trouble stopped them from being aggressive on D at the end.

Lol again congrats ND. Still think this is on Geno with some questionable defense in the first and third quarter. Here is to hoping UConn loses some regular season games next year to relieve some pressure on them

Game could be over. UConn can't run offense and can't stop ND's drives.

But Glenn, I thought that ND was "chunky and slow?" How did they beat "svelte and swift" UConn? Maybe you should apologize for your comments about ND players?

Man, this game was so intense, I couldn't even post during it... Wink

The thing about this ND teams vs ones over the past 7-8 years is that this team is pretty much fearless and seriously hungry. They just have this attitude in this tournament that they won't be stopped.

Geno's record in close and OT games is very poor. I never imagined ND could score 90 points on UConn. ND played great on offense and well enough on defense. Geno now 11-8 in the national semi.

I have to get up in about 5 hours. Shocked

I went to bed because I needed to calm down so that I could eventually go to sleep. I made the mistake of thinking that I could turn the game on and because I was in bed, it would be OK.

WRONG!!!

Unbelievable!!!!!! Now I'm going to go back to bed and hopefully I'll be asleep in about 2 seconds!

Yes, CTH, I can be wrong, and never happier to admit it! Smile

I'm thinking that the ACC coaches may want to re-think their votes.

Damn, Notre Dame vs Miss State for the title. I actually thought it would be Louisville vs UConn lol.

2 awesome semifinals.

I hope the final can live up to what these 2 games gave us.

ND better thank Daddy Shepard's lawyer for the semifinal win by getting drama diva eligible for this season. Surprised she actually lasted a whole game since she begged for subs at UNL. Muffett is the biggest snake ever for getting a waiver..congrats Miss State on your national championship on Sunday! No way they'll let these sellouts from ND win

What I've wondered about all year is why the stellar freshmen class has been completely invisible all season.

UConn has won with stellar team offense, but ND has the better 1on1 players capable of creating their own shots when things break down or clock gets tight.

In the spirit of Biebelstats, the last time UConn lost in the semis two years in a row they won the next 4 in a row.

Some stat stuff from Her Hoop Stats:

We shouldn't see UConn win with a big volume of free throws, because they are #316 (Bottom 10%) in Free Throw Rate with 0.24 free throw attempts per field goal attempt.

UConn was 4-6 on FT's while ND was 19-23. This was because UConn only rarely could penetrate ND's half court perimeter defense while ND constantly shredded UConn's with aggressive drives and post-to-post paint passes.
