Just what I thought of when LaChina was talking about how Walz will come up with a great defense for McCowan.

Yeah, they'll foul the shit out of her. Hack, grab, push, swat, repeat.

I have not liked Louisville since that Griner game. I thought they,LV, got away with a lot of non calls. It was terrible what they did. After the game there was a pic of LV with their hand all up in Griner's face. I remember that Slaughter girl saying "I was so close up in her face that I could smell her toothpaste". If she was that close it was a foul. I am rooting for Miss St and wish them all the luck along with the win. Go Dogs and "Hail State"!!

Louisville is going to own. I don't think this will be a competitive game. And I hope I'm wrong because I've been waiting all year for a UConn - MS ST rematch.

I'm in the "disgusted w/ Walz v Baylor" crowd. That game brought about the "freedom of movement" campaign championed by Geno and others.

Shoni Baloni should have been T'd for taunting after she scored on that sweet circus drive vs Griner.

Plus, Walz is on the all-time whiner list

This FF features 4 of the Top 5 WCB coaches, imo. Only TV is missing.

I expect a close game, and since I've been leaning toward MS ST to win it all since before the Conf Tourn.s, I won't change now.

The only thing that will shock me is a blow out either way.

we need a poll on this one. I'm hoping for one helluva game.

I love ViVi but I think L'ville will win.

Louisville will win this game only if Mississippi state guards miss open jump shots like they did in their only loss this season to South Carolina.

Big T will be hard to stop on offense but they will be zooming in and around and thru her legs when she tries to defend. Hines Allen won't be matched up with her anyway, though they may use her to front T.

At any rate, it will depend on who is/isn't hitting those shots. Durr has bee great in the tourney, but I'm still remembering some games where she had trouble hitting the backboard. Mo has not exactly been steady Eddie either.

Or if they get away with grabing, walking and any other non called fouls. They are going to try to foul T out for sure. Hope decent refs are calling this game.

I don't believe their " swarming like ants on prey" will work as well as it did on Griner or Gulich. It only works on players who's last name begins with "G". Rolling Eyes But seriously- It worked on Griner because they were so close to her via her thin frame that it she had no room to operate. The same was true for Gulish because her game requires more room due to her multiple moves and fade away shots. Mc Cowan is a real space eater. She is big enough to create space with just her body and so strong that, unlike what they did with Griner, they will be like flies in respect to their ability to throw her off balance vial contact.

Louisville has faced one defense all season that is remotely close to MS ST's, and they were effectively demolished by it.

I hold Vic in higher esteem than Kim.

And with Griner and Gulich they were more concerned about them getting the ball and making moves to score than with T. T's most deadly weapons will be rebounding, blocking shots and the "forgiveness" factor on the offensive boards with put backs. The small guards for MSU is a concern.

And to be fair let's hope that "T" isn't allowed to use her arm to clear out, go over the backs of opponents or physically displace players. And let's hope that when Vic Jr has her foot in the protective arc she is called for a block. Wink

When Rebecca Lobo talks about UConn, the only comparison I can think of is Meg Ryan diner scene in When Harry Met Sally.

Hopefully Miss ST wins this game...A UConn/LV championship game would be a blowout.
