Division One JUCO championship

Tallahassee CC wins their first National Title with a 69-51 win over Trinity Valley. One of the key players for Trinity Valley was Mercedes Brooks, who started her post prep careerwith Kansas State.

In the second place game, Cierra Johnson scored a JUCO record with 47 points in Shelton States win over Gulf Coast State. Ceirra Johnson, who originally signed but failed to qualify with Alabama had 124 points in the 3 game tourney.

Little ole Walters State, from Morristown, TN, where I used to live (35 years!) made the quarterfinals. They've been in the running for most of the last I don't know how many years. It's a pretty remarkable record, even though they've never won.
