I am rather enjoying the suffering of Duquesne, as St. John's leads 34-17 at home at the half.
Things are... not going quite so well for Fordham in Blacksburg. I don't suppose I can leave it at that?

It got a little touchy in the fourth quarter (AKINA, STOP FOULING!) but St. John's comes away with the 65-52 win to advance to the quarterfinals. We'll be at the winner of WVU-JMU on Sunday, game time to be based on who wins. (Be gentle if it's JMU, summertime blues.)
(No, we're not going. Isobel Cup is Sunday!)
Meanwhile in Blacksburg, the phenomenal college career of G'mrice Davis comes to an end as Fordham gets whooped by Virginia Tech 81-50.

Sorry for you, Queenie, on the Fordham Game, but Kenny's girls are peaking at the right time. I pretty much expect JMU to get beat tonight, although there's a teeny-tiny slim chance they could pull through...after that I will be in the Hokies' corner all the way.

JMU went app to Morgantown and lost in a game that was delayed a day by snow in the region. The final was 67-55 but doesn't tell the full story of the game, which was a barnburner for part of the time. The Dukes' Kelly Koshuta had 22 points before they were able to shut her down.WVU put the brakes on Kamiah Smalls and Lexie Barrier lost her shot again for most of the game, but the Dukes didn't quit. In the end, the Mountaineers were just bigger and stronger...and they *have* been picked to win the whole thing.
Note to WVU's future opponents:Pardee is a flopper. At least 2 of the fouls she managed to get called were pure flops. She tried some others but didn't get the calls.
