I take it you haven't been watching the Michigan State - Syracuse barn burner on CBS. Sparty 28% from the floor, 26% from three, 50% from the line, more turnovers than FGs, and they lead at the half.

FWIW. I thought the Louisville/Marquette women’s had more excitement and drama than Purdue/Butler men, both on TV at the same time. The atmosphere was just more intense.

They should have stayed home and played higher basketball and get better coaching.

And they had 2 programs to choose from there where that would be the case.

I can’t even believe that OSU is so well coached and that horrendous at breaking a press. I’m stunned.

Remember Oregon State is likely gonna be a much improved team next year with an elite PG in Destiny Slocum and even more depth/height.

And isn't Oregon really young this year, too? Pac 12 should be really tough next year.

To be fair to them, when they made their decision neither Oregon nor OSU was anywhere near the program they are today. Graves was just coming to the Ducks and Rueck had yet to show success after taking over a decimated program.

The height coming in will be suspect, they wills miss Marie; but having Slocum at the point is going to change the dynamics of this team.

Oregon will miss Lexi Bando, but pretty much return everyone else.

Bye bye Mercedes! Sayonara! Girl needs an attitude adjustment. Oh how sweet it must be for her home state to end her Tennessee career.

ARE YOU BLIND?

Oregon State is white slow and unathletic.

Has nothing to do with Rudeck;s coaching. It;s simply biology. Tennessee is much more athletic and started harassing them.

The real question is why Holly waited SO LONG to do it.

One wonders why it took 2 Gulich fouls for the genius Ruek to play zone.

Everyone in WCB knows to zone the LVs.

I thought that too. Go Zone. Then I heard the announcers say something like, the Beavers don't play zone and I thought WHAT? You have one true post player, and limited speed on the perimeter and you don't play Zone?!?

I may have misheard though?

Two years ago Ruek played MTM the whole game and lost. Same year 2 seed ASU lost to 7 seed Tenn for the same reason. Slow-footed MTM teams always have trouble with Tenn. I can see playing the style you are used to playing but Tenn is 2 different teams against zones & MTM. Maybe Ruek learned something.

I’m from the Syracuse area. I watched the game and have been bitching up a storm about it on social media. Ha.

I like next year's Tennessee a whole lot better than this year's. Cheridene Green should have been used more. She is more mobile and more vocal than Russell and has a better sense of the court.

I apologize and will refrain from making those comments in the future.

Although isn't it interesting the very post after yours, in CT's signature, it says SILLY STUPID WHITE PEOPLE.

Tenn had 4/5 starters shoot under 30%. Analyze the press, blame the coach, hold a seance, but you don't have to look any further for reasons for this loss.

The press was so effective in the first quarter. I'm not sure why they went away from it. As long as the refs were letting them reach and grab along with it, why not continue to do it? That part I really didn't understand.

One thing about Rueck...other than that he is a good coach, he is a genuinely nice person as well. I just love seeing that quality in coaches. And the P12 have several of them, so that makes it easier to root for those teams.

What is Holly crying about in the postgame? What has the team had thrown at them?

who knows. It's emotional time no doubt. But the fact that they've underperformed based on the amount of talent amassed, and with the expectations that I'm sure surround them, they could be getting a lot of hometown bad press.

We do have to remember they are just young kids...or barely adults.
