Gulich vs Russell

This might be the most important game Russell has played for WNBA purposes.

Russell off to a good start.

2 pts, 2 reb, 1 blk, and an early foul drawn on Gulich

She's shows such potential some times, but other times just looks completely lost out there.

The referees are going to win this game for Tennessee....or at least they're trying to.

They should have Russell in with no fouls. She can rest during halftime.

I think Andy Landers basically said Warlick doesn't know how to run an offense.

If you're Oregon State, you've got to feel good about only being down two, playing five on eight, and Gulich sitting on the bench for a long stretch going into the half.

Russell has zero stamina. She has to rest a lot or she's totally useless.

Tenn plays best in transition. They generated a lot of offense off their defense at the start of the game, then OSU gained some composure on offense. Glad to see Davis hit that buzzer-beater...she's been getting hammered out there and maybe that will help her be more assertive. The officials have been missing calls both ways.

That's been Tenn's offense since before Warlick took over.

I'll speculate that it's more a foot issue than a stamina issue. She runs like it hurts, not like she's tired.

Did Andy ever really have an offense at Georgia? Hello pot, meet kettle.

Funny how much more effective it used to be

I'm gonna guess the main thrust of the HW halftime discussion was an emotional appeal to hustle more and hit the boards harder.

One-sided officiating...

BTW...Tennessee is 57-0 all-time in tournament games at home.

"They just got tangled up". Gulich was hooking Russell.

If the trio of Oregon Lady Vols played with the same hustle and intensity of their teammate Meme Jackson, this would be a completely different team.
