It'a all going CT's way.

1Q proves UConn is doomed in this tourney. Their defense is giving up projected 76 ppg to weak St. Francis. |

If Geno goes #s 8+ exclusively in the 2nd half, UConn won't reach 100.

I want everybody to call me the world's biggest idiot because I was spending the first half of the UConn game watching the other games, so I missed history. I AM THE BIGGEST IDIOT IN THE WOLRD!

KLS needs 3 more rebounds for an Ionescu. Will Geno let her play in the 4Q? |

Everybody is wrong. They went away from the game in the third quarter. Thanks for playing.

UConn shuts down their transition game in the 2nd half and miss the all-time scoring record, but set a new tournament record.
Geno plays 7-11 the entire 4th period and they win 24-4 as the bench out-scores St F 62-52.
Just another example of why 64 teams are too many. St F would have been a nice team to watch in the NIT.

I didn't even pay attention to where St. Francis placed in their conference, but it also might have been a good example of why I don't like conference tournaments. Not that any of the "little guys" are gonna be giant killers anyway. Not this year. Maybe someone else, because I still think this edition of UConn is beatable on the right day by the right team.

Geno didn't look too happy at Megan Walker's strong performance. Certainly looks like a player who should be able to be a 7th player in a rotation and give a couple of minutes off the bench.
Geno knows now if they only play 6 players and lose due to fatigue and foul trouble he is gonna have a lot to answer for.
Even Camara looks like a player who could help against a bigger frontline.
Are they being 86ed from the rotation just to not upset the returning starters?

Top team in the NEC. They love to run. Ironically, despite the presence of the NEC Defensive Player of the Year, they're not known for their defense. (Harrison shouldn't have gotten that award, but that's a whole 'nother story that maybe two other people on this forum will care about.) Not that UConn is a good match-up for anyone, but a team that loves to run and doesn't play D is sort of *really* doomed against UConn.

I love how people who never cover a sport know what's good or bad for it by seeing one boxscore

If there was a mercy rule then UConn's games against Miss St 2 years ago (98-38) and 3 years ago vs Texas (105-54) would have ended early and embarrassed 2 P5 conferences.
It isn't just small teams from mid-majors that get humiliated by UConn. A sampling of in-game scores this season:
UConn 49 Stanford 14 (halftime)
UConn 67 Cal 27 (after 3 periods)
UConn 53 S car 24 (at the half)
